The 2016 Epcot Food and Wine Festival seminars and demonstrations, book signings, chef meet and greets, and other low-cost or free events always offer terrific opportunities to enhance your festival experience!

These events are held at the Festival Welcome Center in Epcot’s Future World (the old Wonders of Life Pavilion).

Dates and times for these are usually the last pieces of information we get on the festival, but we do know that Culinary Demos and Beverage Seminars will again be offered at this year’s festival.

General Booking begins July 21.

Tables in Wonderland members, Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, and Golden Oak Residents will be eligible for a $2 discount (per person, per event) for beverage and seminars and culinary demos taking place Mon-Thurs during the festival. These members will be able to book seminars and demos July 19th at 9AM. (Note: According to an official Disney World Annual Passholder website and email, booking for low-cost demonstrations begins for Annual Passholders ONLY on July 18th. We can find no other confirmation of this date, but we wanted to be sure you were aware of all possibilities!) Discounts are by phone only at 407-WDW-FEST (939-3378). Chase Disney Visa Cardholders can book select special events, demos, and seminars on July 19th as well. A limited number of seats are available for the booking date. Call 407-939-1870 to book reservations with your Disney Visa Credit Card.

Festival Welcome Center Events

Many of these events, including seminars and demonstrations, take place in the Festival Welcome Center in Epcot’s Future World. Some exhibits and events will take place in other parts of the the park.

Here, we’ll share a few of the experiences that we expect to return to the festival in 2016.

The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar

This exhibit hosted by Ghirardelli Chocolate Company has been located in the Festival Welcome Center. It includes displays about how chocolate is made as well as chocolate sculptures from Disney pastry chefs. It’s a fun way to pass the time while waiting for your upcoming events. There will also be chocolate items available for purchase, including one of our favorites, Gourmet Drinking Chocolate! Plus, sample chocolates, select a wine and chocolate pairing, and shop for a bag of your favorite Ghirardelli Gourmet Chocolates.

Back to Basics Seminars

Turn ho-hum into YUM YUM! Back to Basics offers epicurean tips and tricks from the pros that may seem simple but can have a profound effect on your next dinner party.

Book Signings and Meet & Greets

Chat with celebrated authors and/or personalities! Don’t forget to bring your purchased merchandise for autographs. Please check the daily schedules for the latest information. For more details, visit the Festival Center Information Desk.

Note: You do NOT have to attend a culinary or beverage seminar or demo to participate in these meet and greet opportunities with chefs and beverage experts. However, you may need to arrive at the Festival Welcome Center early to get a wristband for meet and greets with well-known personalities. On the day of your chosen chef’s demo, be sure to check in at the center to see if you’ll need a wristband.

Bottle Signings

Meet the winemaker and have your purchased bottle of wine autographed for a unique souvenir or gift. Please check the daily schedules for the most up-to-date info on presenters and their topics or visit the Festival Center Information Desk.

Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt

Returning for 2016 — everyone’s favorite rat chef Remy will be joined the party with Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt!

Guests could participate in the hunt by purchasing a map and stickers at select Festival Center merch locations. They could bring back their completed map for a special surprise!

Remy’s Hide & Squeak will be $8.99 this year (please note that all retails are subject to change without notice). You can pick up a map at the following Epcot locations:
– Pin Central
– Festival Center
– Disney Traders in World Showcase
– International Gateway in World Showcase

Chase VIP Lounge

The Chase VIP Lounge will return for all Chase credit and debit card holders in 2016! It’s a great spot for you and your guests to  relax while enjoying a beverage in a private lounge at the American Adventure pavilion overlooking World Showcase. Guests can take advantage of complimentary non-alcoholic refreshments, a charging station, and comfortable seating to relax at the Chase Lounge at American Adventure.

For access, just present your Visa Card.

Marketplace Discovery Passport

And it wouldn’t be the Epcot Food and Wine Festival without everyone’s favorite free souvenir! Once again, we anticipate you’ll be able to pick up a Festival Marketplace Discovery Passport from the Festival Welcome Center to keep track of your progress Around the World.

As you travel World Showcase, remember to add your passport stickers from the Marketplaces that you visit, found in the middle of the passport.

It’s a handy way to note your favorites!
