The Disneyland Resort changes their gourmet treats monthly. The gourmet treat trio usually includes a Marshmallow Wand, a Caramel Apple, and a Mickey Crispy Treat. Sometimes there is a bonus item like a packaged chocolate bark! January’s flavor of the month is Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie and it’s amazing.
My take home project included the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Marshmallow Wand, a Mickey Crispy, and the Chocolate Bark. Let’s start with my very favorite of the three: the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Bark. This stuff is 100% addicting. If you are a peanut butter fan, you’ll probably want to keep the entire 7 ounces to yourself and not share one single bite.
The unique thing about this new bark is that it’s the first time that the Disneyland Resort candy kitchen has made it “layered.” See that? Chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate!
The peanut butter is smooth and creamy; it’s a like a giant peanut butter cup in slab form. The bark is drizzled with chocolate and peanut butter, topped with crushed chocolate cookie bits, and then sprinkled with chopped roasted peanuts.
A 7 ounce piece of the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Bark will set you back $9.99, but it’s worth every penny. Here is the ingredients list.
If you read the blog regularly, you know that Disneyland Marshmallow Wands are one of my favorite treats. This month’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Bark Marshmallow Wand may just be the best one yet!
The marshmallow is dipped in caramel, then chocolate, rolled in chocolate cookie bits, drizzled with peanut butter and chocolate, then sprinkled with chopped roasted peanuts. Here’s a close up of the toppings!
I think one of my favorite things about Marshmallow Wands is the layer of caramel. I love the chewy and sweet caramel. This version combines the caramel with crunchy, salty chopped peanuts. The flavor and texture mix here is really great! The Gourmet Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Marshmallow Wand is $4.99 and incredibly delicious.
The Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie Mickey Crispy Treat finishes off the three treats that I brought home to try.
This one was my least favorite — not because I thought it was bad, but mostly because the Crispy Treat just isn’t a go-to for me. The Mickey Shaped Crispy Treat has a top coating of chocolate. It is then covered in chocolate cookie bits, drizzled with chocolate & peanut butter and sprinkled with chopped roasted peanuts. This treat is $6.49, which I think is a little pricey for what you get. I happen to like the pre-packaged Crispy Treats better than the gourmet ones; they are cheaper and I think they have a better flavor. I feel like you get more value (and taste) with the marshmallow wand.
Overall, I LOVE this month’s gourmet treats. In fact, I wish they were here to stay… especially that bark! If you are visiting the Disneyland Resort during the month of January, make sure to try something from the Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie line! I haven’t had a chance to try it, but there is also a caramel apple with the same toppings.
All of the treats that I have mentioned above can be found at Marceline’s in Downtown Disney, Candy Palace & Pooh Corner in Disneyland, and Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure.
Do you look forward to the monthly change up of flavors in the Gourmet Treats Line? Have you had a favorite that you wish would stick around? How about this Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookie medley? Have you tried anything or which item would you most like to try? Let us know in the comments below.

WDW execs, if you’re reading this, I would pay good money for these on the east coast.
Hannah says
I’m sorry….these look disgusting. I love my sweets but this is just too much.
Jeanelle says
I might have missed it but did anyone mention yet that Disneyland is no longer carrying the much beloved peanut butter sandwich (chocolate dipped peanut butter graham cracker sandwich at Pooh’s corner and Marcelline’s?) I am heartbroken…and I wish that marshmallow wand would be available when I travel there in March!!

I am a peanut butter FANATIC and I am so sad I won’t get to try these!!! I would absolutely eat that whole package of bark on my own, plus about 5 marshmallow wands. But alas, I can’t get to Disneyland until next month! 🙁
Michele says
@Jeanelle WHAT???? I get the peanut butter sandwich every single time I go to Disneyland! Heather, tell me it isn’t true!! Maybe there’s still one location that carries it?!
Essie says
I love crispy treats and caramel apples, but I don’t think I’d like that combination. The wands and bark, however, look wonderful!!!!!!!
Jeanelle says
@Michele, I saw last week that Asher’s Chocolate no longer supplies the chocolate peanut butter sandwich, S’mores Square, Peanut Butter Heaven, Toffee Square or Pecan Roll to Disneyland. Sorry to be the bearer of such sad news…hopefully Heather can get more info on this for us.
Michele says
@Jeanelle That would make me SOOOO sad!! Almost all of those are my go-to sweets!!
Heather says
Jenn – You may need a quick trip out West! ; )
Hannah – That’s ok! More for us! HAHA!
Jeanelle – You know I did notice I hadn’t seen them in a while. What a bummer! Also, they will have marshmallow wands, but a different variety. They are all fabulous!
Michele – I have no conformation, but I think Jeanelle is correct. I haven’t seen them in the case for a while. Will have to investigate.

Just leaving Disneyland today, I missed there chocolate peanut butter graham cracker cookie. They make one but it’s not like years past. They changed vendors and it’s not near the quality and test like before. ANYONE KNOW WHY*??
