Today, we’re hearing news of a brand new offer available when you book a stay at Walt Disney Value Resorts. Called the 2016 Disney Summer Quick Service Meal Plan, this new plan is an abbreviated version of the Quick Service Disney Dining Plan. It entitles each guest of your party to one FREE quick service meal per day of stay.
Here are the details:
WHAT: One free quick service meal per day, per person.
WHEN: Book now through February 29, 2016 for stays May 29 through June 30, 2016 and July 5 through August 13, 2016
WHERE: Book your reservations at the following: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort (Excludes Ft. Wilderness campsites and Disney’s Art of Animation – The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms)
This is NOT a free Disney Dining Plan offer. Guests taking advantage of this special promotion will have access to one free quick service meal, per person, per day only. Guests can choose from Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner.
Also, please note that this deal is only good when you buy a non-discounted room and theme park ticket package. While all of the information released indicated that the deal is good on 4-night/5-day vacation packages specifically, don’t be fooled. Disney used that as an example to encourage you to stay that length of time. You can stay a shorter or longer period of time. Here are the details:
- A minimum 3-night length of stay is required.
- The purchase of a minimum 2-day Magic Your Way base ticket purchase is required.
- No refillable mug or snack credits are included
Keep in mind that the offer is only good on non-discounted rooms. In addition, the following restrictions apply:
- This offer cannot be combined with any other discount or promotion.
- The meal does not include alcoholic beverages or gratuities.
- Children ages 3 to 9 must choose from the children’s menu, if available.
There seems to be no restriction on the quick service locations at which you can use the plan. Guests will redeem their quick service meals with the use of their linked Magic Bands. There is also no restriction on how you or your party redeems the quick service meal. You can redeem them one per day, or all in one day until they are exhausted. For more information, please review the 2016 Disney Summer Quick Service Meal Plan brochure.
The number of rooms available for this offer is limited. Act quickly if you’d like to take advantage!

How much is it?
Do we have to be staying at one of those resorts to get this offer?
I skimmed through the pdf and didn’t see any answers. Thanks
Brooke says
R — The cost would depend on the cost of the room at the particular resort that you’re booking. Yes, you would need to stay at one of the resorts listed to take advantage of the offer.

I have already booked a 4 night/5 day stat at the animation resort. Would I still be eligible/
Dana says
I’m spoiled I guess. That isn’t enough to entice me to go there.

I can see how this may have some appeal. For my family, that would be 4 free adult meals per day. I’d say around $40 total per day. That would have to be close to the room only discount at the values considering they are only 15-20% off typically. So the rack rate would have to be (roughly) more than $200/night to “beat” this deal.
That being said, we’ve never stayed at a value resort and we aren’t big quick service fans, so we probably wouldn’t bite. But I could see some people taking advantage of it.

Hi
We are planning to visit in July 2016 and stay in Art of Animation resort- LM rooms. But do we have to book different type of rooms if we want to use the offer? And also is there any room discount offer for Art of Animation? (We are a family of 3) Thanks
Lauren says
I wonder if this is also how the UK value plan works? It’s called a breakfast plan but it says it’s classed as ‘1 QS credit’.
Brooke says
Duleesha — You would not be able to use this offer with the Little Mermaid Rooms. I’m not really sure about other discount offers at Art of Animation, but this offer cannot be combined with other offers. I would definitely give Disney or you travel agent a call. Best of Luck! 🙂
Brooke says
Barbara — I think it would be a good idea to call Disney directly, or your travel agent, just to make sure that your booked trip meets all of the requirements. Good luck!
Brooke says
Lauren — It sounds very similar. We linked the US brochure in the post; is there a UK brochure that you can access?
