If you’re heading down to Walt Disney World during the busy Spring season, you’ve got another table service option in Magic Kingdom.
We’re talking about Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom’s Frontierland!
This spot has been around forever — and shares pedigree with a similar spot, The Golden Horseshoe, in Disneyland. But in Walt Disney World, we usually only see Diamond Horseshoe open at the very busiest times of the year (think Holidays or Summer). When it is opened, it’s usually for quick service lunch. Even more rarely, you’ll find a dinner buffet. But today, we’re sharing something completely new!
From from March 13 to May 30, you can book an advance dining reservation to enjoy all-you-care-to-enjoy dining at Diamond Horseshoe for both Lunch and Dinner. [EDITOR’S UPDATE: Please note that since this article was originally published, this dining opportunity has been extended through September 10, 2016.]
This is not a buffet; the meal is served in courses, comes plated, and includes a beverage. However, you’ll be able to choose from various entrees and desserts (appetizers are standard). Here are a few more details.
Guests begin their meal with complimentary breadservice — and it’s Cornbread!!! Ah. Disney cornbread is the BEST. 🙂 Then your first course will be a Frontier Salad, which includes Greens, Tomatoes, Roasted Corn, and Cornbread Croutons. Chipotle Ranch Dressing completes the plate.
For entrees, guests will choose between three: Ham with Country Beans, Beef Stew and Mashed Potatoes, or BBQ Pulled Turkey on a bed of Cornbread. Each entree also includes a side of Seasonal Veggies.
The meal wraps up with a sweet ending — choose from an Apple Tart or Campfire Brownie. The latter clearly takes its cue from a S’more, complete with Graham Cracker Crust and Toasted Marshmallow Topping.
It’s not clear if Disney is testing this option as a long term offering, or if it’s simply to alleviate the crush of seasonal crowds. Whatever the scoop, we’ll take it — because it’s always fun to take in a meal at a spot that’s rarely open!
As of press time, you can only book by calling (407) 939-6983. But online ressies should be available soon.
Now I’m anxious to hear from you now! Will you be booking Diamond Horseshoe for table service lunch or dinner during your Spring visit to Walt Disney World? Let us know in the comments below!

I saw the price for these meals elsewhere. Holy moley! Even by Disney’s standards, these meals are overpriced. There should be live entertainment for what they are charging! Based on the pictures, the serving sizes are way too small for what people are paying. Unless it’s all you care to eat in which case, it is merely over-priced.
Disney cornbread is okay, but it’s pretty standard sweet cornbread.

I’m still confused by the information Disney has provided on this one. With the phrase “all you care to enjoy” in the same sentence as “your choice of…”, it sounds like I can eat as much salad and cornbread as I want… but if I choose BBQ Pulled Turkey… I can NOT then choose to try the Spit-Roasted Ham… I can only order more BBQ Pulled Turkey… and even though it’s “all I care to enjoy”, I can only enjoy more of my first selection.
Then I have to choose either the Campfire Brownie or the Apple Tart… but that’s not in the same sentence as “all you care to enjoy”, so there’s just one of those?
Argh, why so confusing? We actually want to eat at these places… but not if I can’t figure out what I’m getting.
$33 is around the same cost as The Garden Grill’s Lunch over at Epcot… right? (Never mind the fact that there’s characters over there to take photos with) … Here’s what we’re making, it’s all served to you… and you can get more of whatever you want, period… it shouldn’t be more complicated than that. But it sounds like it is.
It’s lunch… not multi-tier seasonal peak ticket pricing… oh wait, that’s a thing now, never mind.
So if I want to try the BBQ Pulled Turkey, the Spit-Roasted Ham and the Stewed Beef, it’s going to be $99 and then I get three desserts? If I bring three people, can we order different things and rotate plates… or would that get me banned from the Diamond Horseshoe? It’s all so silly.

It is like the way they serve on the cruises, all you care to eat but a plated meal. LOOKS GOOD.

Online ressies seem to be available on the mobile app. I was able to book a dinner for 5/6 using my iphone. But didn’t see it available on the website.

Love the last comment!

Do we know if there is a vegetarian option? I also checked online and you can now make ADRS through the website.

Thanks for the tip on using the app – wasn’t seeing reservations on the website but was able to snag one on the app!

I’d love to eat here just to enjoy the atmosphere; I’ve always wanted to. It seems like you get as much food as you want, so I’d say it’s def worth a try.

I’m disappointed it won’t be quick-service. This is my first trip at peak season and I was hoping to get to the places DFB says are only open when it’s busy. The price is too high just for the atmosphere and I have too many table-service meals planned as it is. Are they planning a show? What’s driving the price?

I heard they are getting a menu refresh this Sunday… review please!!!

It looks like the expanded/refreshed menu is showing up on WDW’s website. Agree with Tammy – I would love to see a review of the new items!
