And now we’ve got even MORE news, specific to two groups of people: Disney Visa Cardholders and Canadians can book the 2016 Disney World Free Dining Offer for arrival dates starting on August 14th. (Arrival dates for the general public begin August 23rd.)
So, for Disney Visa Cardholders and Canadian guests, eligible arrival dates to book Free Dining are as follows:
- August 14 – October 1, 2016
- November 15 – November 21, 2016
- November 26 – November 28, 2016
- December 10 – December 21, 2016
All other details as released this morning
remain the same for Disney Visa Cardholder and Canadians (including that the offer must be booked by July 8th).

Thank you for clarifying! As a Canadian I could see the August 14th date (and booked something for a friend by 7:30am yesterday) but everything I saw published said August 23rd. There is no way for us to tell that our offers are different from those in the US – but this time I’m glad they were!!
I tried to get free dining. I started at 6 a.m. The website would not cooperate. Finally got through on the phone at 10 a.m. I was on hold for 2 hours. At 12 p.m. I was told there was no free dining available at the Caribbean Beach, preferred rooms. 9/19-9/25. I am so disappointed in Disney. I plan 1-2 vacations a year, cruises, land, etc. It has been 10 years since I planned a Disney trip. I have never been so stressed. Vacation planning should be fun.
I have always loved the free dining. However this year I am very upset because the one week we decided to come to Disney in December it is not available and even if it was they blocked out the resort we are staying at. I really think Disney needs to rethink it’s “free dining” offer. It now seems you have to stay in the “right” resort or you are not eligible for the free dining. Not a very good way to encourage people to come back for a vacation!
