We’re SOARIN’ from coast to coast! The beloved Soarin’ attraction premiered with a brand new film, Soarin’ Around the World, in both Disneyland and Disney World recently (not to mention Shanghai Disneyland, too!).
And over in Disneyland Resort, our DFB Disneyland Correspondent Heather Sievers noticed something new-to-her when she soared once again in Disney California Adventure: Coke Freestyle Machines have been installed right near Soarin’ at Grizzly Peak Refreshments!
It’s fun how the Freestyle machines have been given a vintage ice cooler look to fit in with the surroundings at Grizzly Peak Airfield.
But just like every other modern-day Freestyle machine, these offer over a bajillion options (give or take 😉 ) to change up your typical beverage of choice with flavor variations. Peach Sprite? You got it. Raspberry Caffeine Free Diet Coke? Sure!
Regular cups are available, of course, but you may choose to get your Cherry Minute Maid Lemonade — or what have you — in one of these Souvenir Canteens.
We’ve heard that these freestyle machines are up and running at variable times, so take advantage if you see them — and let us know what you mix!
Are you headed for a new souvenir canteen? Let us know in the comments below!

I would love to see these machines in WDW as well — they have them at a few local restaurants in my hometown, and they’re great, especially for those of us that enjoy seltzer, sparkling water or diet soda. I’m assuming that Disney Springs’ World of Coca Cola or whatever it’s called will have this plus even more cool stuff!

Thanks for this report. Now that I’ve read this and one of the past ones, I now understand these machines better and I do like them!

I actually hope these do NOT become the norm at WDW. I think the actual Coke options taste so different from a regular fountain Coke.

The Freestyle machines eventually make every drink taste like a “suicide” (what we called it as kids) – all of the drinks have a mixed taste. For example, even if I get a straight Coke, it tastes like Coke mixed with Sprite. This is not exclusive to Disney- it is all the Freestyle machines. I love the concept and the outcome…if the machine is new. Seems like the machines that have been around for even a month have this problem. I am not the only one who notices this too, unfortunately. I think the tubes maybe need to be tightened or cleaned or something?

The picture is from the Land at WDW, not DCA.

Has anyone tried using the Freestyle app with the machines to do a custom mix?
The machines at Gasparilla Grille @ Grand Flo don’t show the QR code on the screen, which is needed for the app to “talk to” the machine and give it the pre-mix. Wondering if anyone has tried elsewhere on property?
