Whew! What a week it’s been for food news from Walt Disney World! We learned about the opening date for PizzeRizzo, changes to lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, the (almost) full list of narrators for the 2016 Candlelight Processional, AND expanded options for food booths coming to Epcot’s Holidays Around the World…. to name just a few!
And would you believe it doesn’t end there? We thought we’d pop in with a quick update with EVEN MORE news from around the World. Starting with…
Garden View Wine and Champagne Lounge
The Garden View Lounge in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is known as the home to Afternoon Tea in Disney World (along with Disney’s Perfectly Princess Tea on select mornings).
Well, now this spot has an evening function as well, when it becomes the Garden View Champagne and Wine Lounge!
Open nightly from 7:00 – 10:00 pm, a selection of champagne, wine, and small plates chosen to complement the drinks will be on offer in this lovely spot in the Grand Floridian.
Lunch at Le Cellier
Starting November 6th, guests can enjoy a prix fixe lunch menu at Le Cellier in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion.
Though we are still awaiting pricing and menu options, we know that this three-course meal (with choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert) will be available from 11:15 am through 2:30 pm, and a Wagyu Beef Burger will be among the options.
Expanded Dates for Club Villain
Are you just itching to party with some of your favorite Disney Villains at Club Villain? Then here’s some good news for you… even more dates have been added to this popular dance and dine party in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
Check out the dates (Fridays and Saturdays in November and December, and Friday evenings in January) and deets via the Disney World website.
And if you need a little help with your decision on whether or not to attend this extra-ticket event (priced at $129 per person), check out this Guest Review!
New Souvenir Mug at the Jungle Skipper Canteen
It’s a jungle in Magic Kingdom’s Adventureland, and that can make a Jungle Cruise Skipper awfully thirsty.
That’s why two specialty drinks are available at the Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen: Punch Line Punch and Schweitzer Slush. They are served in souvenir mugs, which are receiving a makeover soon.
What do you think of the new look?
Heritage Mickey at Boardwalk Bakery
Finally, November brings about a very special day: November 18th is Mickey’s Birthday! And Boardwalk Bakery will be celebrating our Main Mouse with Heritage Mickey.
This new dessert was inspired by “Steamboat Willie,” the black and white animated short in which the world was introduced to Mickey Mouse.
Dark and White Chocolate Mousse will be topped with Mickey ears and a tail.
Also, look for a Mickey-inspired flavor at Ample Hills Creamery next door at the BoardWalk!
That’s it for now, but keep an eye out here on the DFB for all the latest. And as our pal Mickey himself would say… See You Real Soon!
Which of these new offerings are you most excited to learn about? Please let us know with a comment!

Heritage Mickey! I’m also anxious, however, to hear about the lunch menu at Le Cellier!

Noticed last week the gating around the quiet pools of the Yacht and Beach Clubs. Why??
First thought is to keep non-resort specific guests out which is why they gated SAB in the first place.
