There is so much to love about Sprinkles. The Cupcakes. The Ice Cream. The Cookies. The outrageous combos thereof.
But you just knew that sooner or later, we were gonna talk Frosting Shots. And today’s the day!
Remember a couple of weeks back when I went all Sprinkles Crazy on you?
There were the killer Seasonal Cupcakes. And of course, that outrageous Ice-Cream-Cookie-Brownie-Sammie that I’m still dreaming about. (And now, so are you.)
But I also took the opportunity to get a couple of my favorite Sprinkles menu items — Frosting Shots — while I was at it.
You see, I loooooooovvvvvve Frosting. If you’ve been reading DFB for any amount of time, then you already know this. So a treat that’s nothing but the good stuff? Sign me up.
I discovered Sprinkles’ frosting shots at my local Sprinkles location here in Dallas, TX, years and years ago. So when I saw that the Disney Springs store had them, I couldn’t help myself.
But I completely acknowledge that Frosting is super rich, so a little goes a long way. The Frosting Shots at Sprinkles are served in little paper souffle cups with tiny spatula spoons to eat them. I chose Salted Caramel and Strawberry as my indulgence.
Of course, the beauty of a frosting shot is that there’s none of that tiresome cake to get in the way. It’s just all frosting, all the time.
But after I scarfed down the strawberry shot and was halfway through the salted caramel shot, I was overcome by the BEST. IDEA. EVER.
I’ve already shared with you my love for this particular treat, the Salted Oatmeal Cornflake Cookie. If you love oatmeal cookies, you’re about to LOSE YOUR MIND. Because this is chewy, sweet, Oatmeal + caramelized, complex Corn Flake, sprinkled with Coarse Salt to make cookie perfection.
So Salted Caramel Frosting on top of this cookie was a match made in Sprinkle Heaven. Oh, yes.
It just doesn’t get any better than this.
Is it worth it? Yep.
Every. Decadent. Bite.
But I want to hear from all the frosting lovers out there. Do you love the idea of sidling up to the “bar” at Sprinkles and doing a few Frosting Shots along with me? Leave a comment and tell me what you think!

OH MY GOD YES ALL THE FROSTING PLEASE

I saw the I love frosting comment and thought oh this has to be written by AJ!!! LOL I quickly scrolled back to the top and of course it was!!!! I think making sandwich cookies with the frosting shots would be heavenly!
Terri says
How about the salted caramel frosting sandwiched between two of the salted oatmeal cornflake cookies (homemade whoopie pie)?
Robert says
I also tried the Salted Oatmeal Cornflake cookie at my local sprinkles in Newport Beach, CA. It looks boring but tastes amazing and has great Oatmeal texture. Thanks for the tip about adding the frosting shots as a cookie topper… This will make a great snack even better.

And America gets fatter and fatter. Disney should be ashamed. Fun is one thing, teaching children terrible habits is another.
Marks Dad says
Hi, I’m Marks dad from the above comment. I didn’t hug him enough as a child. Sorry.
Francine says
I love visiting Sprinkles, I’m all about the icing too! I’m going to have to try these next week!
Debbie says
I have had Sprinkles cupcakes twice now and am not impressed. I found them on the dry side and lacking in flavor. I would personally choose the Contempo Cafe specialty cupcakes over Sprinkles everytime.
Brianne says
Just throwing this out there, but it’s not Disney’s job to teach kids how to eat healthy. It’s the parents that should do that. For example, my parents taught me not to eat frosting every day, but if I want to get a huge cookie and wash it down with a shot of frosting while I’m on vacation, that’s a different story.
Megan says
Holy moly, Mark. Ease up a little. Sprinkles is not a Disney-owned brand, they are their own company. And you’re on vacation! Eat what you please! I’ve yet to try the cookies from Sprinkles, but they look super tasty.
Lisa P says
Buy a cup of frosting for a snack?
Sorry, AJ -that’s just bad.
Faith says
Aaand this goes directly on my food list for the next visit!!! I’m a fellow frosting fiend so this sounds amaaaazing! *yummmmm*

We’re in. Just got back from WDW this week and this will go on our “next trip” list. YUM, Loved your comment: Of course, the beauty of a frosting shot is that there’s none of that tiresome cake to get in the way. It’s just all frosting, all the time. I agree!
Lisa says
Mark’s dad you made me laugh, which is always healthy! Thank you!
Jayne says
I was wondering what the one on the left was because it looked like mustard to me.
DFB Sarah says
Jayne, the frosting shot on the left is salted caramel.
mark hodson says
Can you have Sprinkles cupcakes and frosting shots delivered to a WDW resort?
DFB Sarah says
Mark, you can! Go to Sprinkles.com, and click to “Order Online”.
Amy says
Wondering if frosting shots are still sold. They aren’t on the menu on the official Disney website or the Disney Springs site. I have a little birthday girl who is counting on this in June. (And no, she doesn’t get to eat just frosting on the regular.)
Amy says
I found them under accessories on Sprinkles.com. Hopefully we are all set. “Minnie” doesn’t want a cake, just a frosting shot.
