OK, where my Disney World veterans at?!? This one is for you guys — my compadres who have known and loved Disney for decades…and who know exactly what I’m talking about when I mention…“BEVERLY.”
You either love it…or you REALLY, REALLY HATE IT! That’s the dealio when it comes to Beverly, a carbonated drink popular in Italy (or so they say) made by the Coca-Cola company. Having their friends and family try the super-bitter Beverly at Epcot’s Club Cool has been a sneaky trick that long-time Disney World fans have played for years.
But now? Poor Beverly is getting her own!
The Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs is quickly earning a reputation for interesting adult beverages. And a recent addition to the menu features none other than the much-maligned Beverly. This, my friends, is Beverly’s Revenge.
If you’re thinking “What a great name for an alcoholic drink!”, we agree. And we have to think perhaps Beverly is seeking said revenge by partnering the bitter soda with heavy doses of both Hendrick’s Gin and Solerno Blood Orange Liqueur.
The combination is a bit of an odd color, but the addition of bright mint and a fun straw make this drink festive. And while we love the idea of the Blood Orange Liqueur…it didn’t really help. We weren’t able to taste it at all! Rather, Beverly’s Revenge tastes strongly of gin and black licorice.
Like other cocktails we’ve tried at the Coca-Cola Store, this one was strong and heavily poured. Clearly there was an abundance of gin, which, if it’s a liquor you like, may be an attractive quality. For us, it was a little off-putting.
Bottom line? We felt about this the way we feel about Beverly in general: “No thanks.” But we know that some of you love it! So, my dear, brave friends, have at it!!
Beverly’s Revenge comes in at $13.00, which is a pretty standard price for drink menus around the World. And, FYI, alcohol/cocktails are now being served at the Coca-Cola Store starting at 1:00 p.m.
Pin it for later!
Which side of the Beverly debate are you on? Tell us in the comments!

I wonder if there’s a non-alcoholic version. like a “Catty Beverly”

Great name for the drink!!! Very creative!
Man, how many times have you suckered a first timer into trying this????
And then the face that follows!
Essie says
No thanks, I’ll stick with frozen cokes! lol

They told me they would make a Beverly float on request (or a float with any of their other world flavors). I thought it might not be too bad, but then I kind of like Beverly.
Keith says
This sounds amazing….Beverly is by far the best soda at Club Cool, and it should pair quite nicely with the cucumber based gin

Keith — Fellow Beverly lover here! (shh…don’t tell the rest of the staff.) And Hendrick’s Gin? Sign me up! 😀 Let us know what you think if you make it over to try it!
Brooke says
Don — Ooh, that sounds intriguing! Let us know if you end up ordering that custom drink!
Brooke says
Essie — Those are super yummy, too! 😀

That sounds delicious. Basically if you like Campania or a Manhattan, you will like Beverly. It’s all about Bitters. There is a Bitters soft drink in Italy I liked better than Beverly, but l have never seen it here. Thanks for the post.

The should say Campari. Gotta love auto correct.

This is interesting. After years (decades?) of hating Beverly, to my surprise, last year I tried it and liked it. Now I love it and have to get some on every Epcot visit (at least once a week). Glad to hear I’m not the only one.

I recently visited from the West Coast and have two comments:
1.) We need a Coca-Cola store at Disneyland!
2.) Beverly has gotten her revenge!! This drink was really good! You were all right about pairing with gin!! I recommend!
Brooke says
Steve — Isn’t it marvelous? I kinda feel like the Coca Cola Store — and that rooftop bar — is the sleeper hit of Disney Springs! I could sit up there sipping on cocktails for hours. 😀 (And I love Beverly and gin tooooooo!)

Ok. I tried the Beverly’s Revenge New Year’s weekend. It was fantastic. Refreshing, crisp, very refreshing. Like a refreshing water cocktail (cucumber, basil, and mint).
I tell my New Orleans Tale of the Cocktail friends about it.
