is — like the rest of us — very excited about Wine Bar George, which is coming soon to Disney Springs. In fact, they are so excited that they’ve partnered with Master Sommelier George Miliotes for a ‘Wok and Wines’ Pairing Dinner!
The Wok and Wines Pairing Dinner features a menu created by Morimoto Asia’s Executive Chef Yuhi Fujinaga, showcasing modern Pan-Asian cuisine. And Miliotes — one of only 230 Master Sommeliers in the world — will pair each course with wines that will be served at Wine Bar George when it opens later this year.
The first course features Bluefin Toro Tartare, soy caviar, and Jamon Iberico Crisps paired with Dom Ruinart Rosé Champagne. The second course is ‘Bag of Pho’ local lionfish, Hudson Valley Foie Gras dashi, mitsuba, and rice noodles paired with Raats Original Chenin Blanc. And the third course features Slow Roasted Crispy Baby Pig, Chinese black bean trotter jus, and hot spring Jidori egg paired with Selbach-Oster Riesling Feinherb.
For dessert, diners will be served Green Tea Panna Cotta paired with Broadbent Colheita Madeira.
The Wok and Wines Pairing Dinner is February 28 at 7:30 p.m. at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs. The price is $150 per person (excludes tax and gratuity). Guests must be 21 years old or older. Tickets are available online. For more information you can call 407-842-7123.
Wine Bar George is slated to open this fall at Disney Springs.
