Hey Guys! We are back today with another fun — and timely! — DFB YouTube Video!
So, we were all a little shocked and saddened — although not totally surprised — a few weeks back when we learned that Starring Rolls Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios would be closing. Womp womp.
This was totally a Word-on-the-Street kinda thing. Disney didn’t make any announcements, and there’s still been no word about whether the closure is temporary or forever. (We’re hearing temporary. But we’ll keep you posted.)
And we looooovvvvvvvvvedddddddd Starring Rolls. This tiny hole-in-the-wall-esque coffee shop had some aMAzing pastries, cupcakes, and lunch fare. We weren’t alone when we went all Sad Face on closing day.
But, we are all about making lemonade out of lemons, My Friends. So the good news is — many of the treats you could get at Starring Rolls are still available. Ya just gotta know where to look.
Enter our DFB Video — Where to Find Your Favorite Starring Rolls Treats and Eats! Check it out so you can be in the know about where to find favorites like the Butterfinger Cupcake. (Spoiler alert: it has a new name.)

I am devastated.

Wonder if Disney is going to do this for more and more of its closures? See what the response to the abrupt non-forewarned closures to quantify how important of a place it is? I would think sales numbers dictate, and if replacing a oversized glorified pastry and small sandwich place with a higher end restaurant with such a prime location makes more sense, who cares what people thought of prior spot? Case in point, The Writer’s Stop. I just like the locale for more than what it is especially with Trolley Car and Sweet Spells adjacent, just too many lower ticket item places serving the same things. Time to put another major restaurant in its spot!

I am so glad that the napoleon is still available. That was my favorite dessert in all of WDW.

I’ll miss the turkey sandwich. It was the best! Glad the Butterfinger Cupcake survived!

Where’s my red velvet cheesecake cupcake? That’s my usual treat from Starring Rolls, and can’t imagine missing out on it. Anyone have any ideas?

Went to WDW with a friend of mine in October 2016. Of course, Starring Rolls was on our snack list. If memory serves, we sampled 6 different cupcakes in one sitting! Great memories! Hope it’s not gone forever!

Sad to see it go! It was a nice and at time quite quick break spot either for breakfast or lunch. For some reason we’re not in the area at dinner time.
As we all are vegetarians Sad to see the sandwiches go!! And they’re great selection of pastries. When we were there in December it was pretty empty as far as food items being available , needless to say I saw the closing on its way then! Happy to know that we can still use the area to cool down and get away from the crowds!!
Looking forward to what great ideas are coming its way!

Can we get these sandwiches anywhere on property?
