You Guys! It’ll be here before we know it!! YEP — I’m talking about the 2017 Epcot Food and Wine Festival! If you haven’t already, mark your calendars for August 31-November 13. This year’s festival offers a record 75 days of fantastic eats, drinks, and more!
Already, we’re starting to get our very first big pieces of news about how this year’s festival will shape up.
We know for sure that there will be 35 booths to celebrate the 35 years of Epcot, and that both India and Spain will return in 2017.
While we await the announcement of the rest of the new booths, we can still start our planning! If you haven’t already done it, this is a great time to preorder the 2017 DFB Guide to the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. We have all the tips, tricks, and strategies that will make this your best fest yet! AND when you preorder the 2017 guide, you get the 2016 guide for free as an immediate download — so you can start your planning now!
In the meantime, we’re sharing some of our best tips for making the most of your time at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival from our guide’s Frequently Asked Questions section. Today’s question is:
How Many Days Should I Budge For The Epcot Food and Wine Festival?
We get this one all the time! And while there’s no right or wrong answer, we definitely have a few things for you to consider as you make your decision.
If possible, plan for two or more days. See, here’s the thing. For all that we talk about the festival centerpiece — the marketplace booths — there is so much more to do and experience. And it’s not all super pricey.
To begin, there are free events and exhibits, like the Ghirardelli Bean to Bar experience, which shares the history of chocolate production.
There are always interesting interactive displays throughout the park as well. And you can even get wristbands to meet your favorite chefs and culinary personalities — for free!
Low Cost Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars take place daily, and are a great way to add to your knowledge as you taste and sip delicious samples.
And of course, there are tons of special events, ranging from regional tasting events that take place throughout the World Showcase Pavilions, to grand tasting events, like Party for the Senses. Special dinners take place at the resorts as well.
But I only have one day. Can I still enjoy the festival? For Sure! In this case, we strongly suggest that you follow our touring strategies in the DFB Guide to the Food and Wine Festival. We offer strategies for one day, two days, and even half days at the festival.
For instance, if you only have one day at the festival, we think the key is to plan ahead! The day of the festival be sure to get an early start at the Festival Center. Then, hit up your favorite marketplace booths in World Showcase once they open at 11:00AM to avoid lines. And be sure to squeeze in a culinary demonstration during the afternoon, or splurge on a special event!
For more suggestions, check out our recommended one day strategy.
One thing to keep in mind though: if you do only have one day or even a part of a day to spend at the festival, you probably won’t have time to stand in line for regular attractions. So be sure to arrange that Test Track FastPass ahead of time.

Looking forward to it. Couple tips for the tourists. Go Monday thru Thursday and if you can swing come in September. It will be a lot less crowded.
