By now we’ve all seen images (or been in the thick!) of the massive crowds at Pandora — The World of AVATAR in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
We’ve braved those crowds to give you the skinny on eats at Satu’li Canteen (including breakfast!) and the drinks at Pongu Pongu. Oh, and let’s not forget the fun pre-packaged snacks exclusive to Pandora! (VEIN POD!!!!)
But as it turns out, folks have still gotta figure out a way to beat the crazy heat even in picturesque Pandora. So today we’re checking out what is thus far the only bottled drink and ice cream cart in the World’s newest land.
Just like everything else in Pandora, the cart is themed its new home. As opposed to your typical Ice Cream Novelties Cart, you’re instead visiting ACE Mobile Treats (the “ACE,” of course, referring to Alpha Centauri Expeditions, the interplanetary travel company that helps humans like us explore Pandora today).
Beverage offerings include standard bottled hydration options you’ll find elsewhere: bottles of Dasani, smartwater, and Powerade, along with Zico Coconut Water (here in Watermelon Raspberry) and vitaminwater (Dragonfruit flavored!).
While the Mobile Treats are brought to you on behalf of Pandora-friendly ACE, we think the bottle display is slightly more reminiscent of the Resources Development Administration (RDA) that once infringed on the natural lands of the Na’vi. Maybe, just like at Satu’li Canteen, ACE refurbished the stand for its more peaceful purposes.
So, those are the drinks. Now, how about those treats? At ACE Mobile Treats, you’ll find an assortment of Frozen Fruit Bars. You can pick up the No Sugar Added Strawberry Fruit Bar — a staple at ice cream carts all over Disney World. Or you could try the Outshine Coconut Fruit Bar which has been hanging around Animal Kingdom at a few other carts for a little while now. But we went for something new: the Fruits of Mo’ara Fruit Bar.
The Valley of Mo’ara is, in Avatar lore, the place where Na’vi and humans live peacefully together. So it makes sense that such a verdant and lush ecosystem would produce impeccable fruits. Hence, the Fruits of Mo’ara Fruit Bar (so very fruity that “Fruit” appears twice in the name 🙂 ). Simple packaging has just a bit of artwork. (A DFB reader found a very similar bar at Trader Joe’s in her hometown. Can anyone let us know in the comments if the packaging is the same??)
Flavors include strawberry, lime, and raspberry, and because they are carefully layered, you sort of get to try each one separately.
I say sort of because once this starts melting in the summer heat, you’ll just have to attack it from any drippy angle that you can. But that’s totally fine because all three fruity flavors work well together.
Even with prominent, dense flavors, the bar’s sorbet-like texture keeps it light, cool, and refreshing.
Remember: you can find the Strawberry Bars just about everywhere in Disney World, and the Coconut Bars at additional select carts around Animal Kingdom. But the Fruits of Mo’ara Fruit Bar is only available in Pandora. And as the summer heats up and the crowds continue to roll in, we’ll be on the lookout to see if even more unique snacks are on the way to Disney World’s newest land!

I’ve had the strawberry fruit bar and it’s very good and refreshing. I would def try the triflavor bar, because I love lime and you don’t see that flavor often enough.

I just checked my freezer and the Trader Joe’s bars (at least those in Ohio) are similar but not the same. The ones we have that look to be the closest match are raspberry/lemon/strawberry. My kids love them so I’m sure the Disney one would be a hit, too. Of course at Trader Joe’s the box of four is the same price as one at WDW . . .
