With not a minute to lose as you make all of your plans (WHEW!!!), we now have details on the low-cost demos, seminars, and workshops that are one of the hallmarks of the Festival.
I know you’re just as anxious as we are to see what’s new in 2017! (You can read our recent reviews of culinary demos here and here, a recent beverage seminar here, and a Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! workshop here!)
Booking all of your favorites starts in just a few days — Thursday, July 20 for the general public, and Tuesday, July 18 for Annual Passholders, DVC Members, Golden Oak Residents, and Tables in Wonderland Members!
Culinary demos and beverage seminars represent great value when it comes to Festival events. They’re also a great way to learn in a fun, festive setting.
Click through to our Culinary and Beverage Seminars, Demonstrations, and Workshops page to see links to the Culinary and Beverage events.
The cost for all seminars and demos is $17 this year, and the events feature a wide range of talent from the culinary world. (Annual Passholders, DVC members, Golden Oak Residents, and Tables in Wonderland Members are eligible for $2 discounts on seminars and demonstrations held Monday through Thursday.)
Mix It, Make It, Celebrate It! Hands On Workshops will be $49. No discount is offered on the workshops at this time.
Look for celebrity chefs as well as star talent from throughout the Walt Disney World company — and beyond. Representatives from wineries and other beverage companies also make learning about wine and spirits a hands-on experience with tastings and demonstrations.
There will be many familiar names in 2017, so check the details to find out when notable local chefs like Kathleen Blake of The Rusty Spoon and James Petrakis of The Polite Pig as well as James Beard Award Winner Tony Mantuano take the stage! We’re excited to welcome back Maneet Chauhan and Keegan Gerhard as well!
With demos and seminars taking place daily during the Festival, you’re bound to find options that tempt your palate!
As always, stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog.com, the DFB Newsletter, and our DFB Food and Wine Festival Fans Facebook Page for all the details as soon as they happen!

Can you confirm that the July 18 early registration for DVCs and APs is at 9:00 a.m. and not 7:00 a.m.? The general booking on July 20 begins at 7:00 a.m. and previous early registrations in years past also began at 7:00 a.m. Thanks!
Brooke says
Gary — We can only share with you what Disney has shared with us, and they have consistently told us that they lines open at 9:00AM on July 18 for APs, DVC, Tables in Wonderland, and Golden Oak Residents.
Kim R says
Do you know when and at what event Keegan Gerhard will be? Love him!
Brooke says
Kim — He’s scheduled to be at the culinary demo on Thursday, November 9.
Theresa Bulanda says
Do DVC members call DVC to book the Party for Senses on July 18 or do with call dining? Also, for the 50 DVC special reserved seating are we allowed to book guests or just for members?
Kira says
We called this morning to book the parisian breakfast and learned about a new rule that is across the board for ALL FOOD AND WINE EVENTS. ALL children, regardless of age, are charged (previously under two were free). So our one-year-old daughter on her first disney world trip would be charged FULL PRICE for the breakfast. You should make a note of this new rule change. Many of the castmembers were unaware of this change.
Mark says
Thanks for all your efforts. Booked 14 events today (12 culinary demos and 2 lunches) today. The lack of big names and favorites doing the low cost demos was noticeable. Great to see Tony M doing one again this year. Always get good ideas from him. I am sure we will get many great ideas to add to our (well mainly my wife’s) repertoire.
Brooke says
Kira — Thank you for sharing about your experience. We’ll be sure to keep this information in mind.
Brooke says
Mark — You’re so welcome. Let us know how you enjoy this year’s events.
Warren says
Do you know if they will be offering the mixology beverage seminars?
Brooke says
Warren — They discontinued Mixology seminars in 2016. You can find some Mixology covered in the Mix It Make It Celebrate It series, though.
Leslie says
I just tried to book 9 different things (nothing crazy, just beverage seminars and food pairings) for my trip and the only thing still available was the pairing at Spice Road Table. I called right at 7am and tried right at 7am to book anything I could online. So WDW has basically made Food and Wine exclusive to the specialty groups by allowing them to book everything in advance. How disappointing.
Brooke says
Leslie — I can’t promise, but try again. I had something similar happen two years ago — I called and was told that all of the events that I wanted were sold out, and I tried again, and miraculously, they were available. Normally, for early booking, they only have a limited number of seats available, so everything doesn’t sell out before the general public can call. I can’t explain it, but it happens. I hope you have success.
Leslie says
Thanks so much Brooke! I just checked again and everything was opened up! I guess they forgot to flip a switch this morning or something, but this is great and I never would have tried again without your comment. Awesome!
Brooke says
Leslie — Yay! I’m so happy for you. I hope you have a great time!
