So Amorette’s Patisserie quietly introduced Wine Slushies recently. And the interwebs promptly lost their minds.
Of course, that meant one thing for your intrepid DFB investigator: I had to head to Disney Springs to see what all the fuss was about — and if it was warranted.
For those of you keeping track, the slushies join other grown up slushies that you’ll find throughout Walt Disney World. Some of our favorites are the Grey Goose and Grand Marnier Slushes in Epcot’s France. Morocco has a few of their own options as well.
But this is the first time we’ve seen WINE slushies. So yep. We had to look into it.
Wine Slushies at Amorette’s Patisserie
When we arrived, we found not one, but two options on the menu (and spoiler alert: there’s also a third option). There’s a red and a white to choose from, naturally, and both are blended with fruity flavors. Choose from Strawberry Shiraz or Mango Moscato.
Much has been made of the Strawberry Shiraz, so we knew we wanted to try it. But WE went two steps further and tried the Mango Moscato as well — PLUS we had them swirl them both together for our own DFB creation!
Let’s take ’em one at a time. Here’s a closeup of the Strawberry Shiraz. Isn’t it absolutely gorgeous? I think the fruity, spicy shiraz goes perfectly with the strawberry here.
For a lighter, tropical flavor, you can’t beat the combination of the Mango Moscato Slushie. Those orange-honey flavors in moscato and the mango are a match made in wine heaven.
But THEN — you swirl them together and you have pure WINE SLUSHIE MAGIC. Keep in mind that you’ll have to request this one — it’s not on the menu.
As for the taste — we’re SOLD! They were both fantastically refreshing on a ridiculously hot day. While serious wine lovers may have a hard time really tasting the wine (they aren’t particularly winey at all, actually), the sweetness and flavor of the fruits really come through.
Get in on this one! Soon! It will be so much fun to watch this trend to see if they change up the flavors throughout the seasons. And you know if they do, we’ll be there to tell you about it. 😀
So now, we’ve gotta know: Will you be heading to Amorette’s Patisserie to try a Wine Slushie soon? Let us know which one looks best to you in comments!

We vacationed from the 21-29 of. August. Had the strawberry Shiraz. Hot bargain @ $8 per drink. It was ice cold and absolutely delicious. We even got into a chat with the woman behind the counter. She said she couldn’t keep up with the demand.

Will definitely make more than one trip!

Tom,
Why be uptight???
Blogs are supposed to be entertaining & occasionally “cute”.
I like “interwebs”
Tammy says
I agree Jeff, there is enough drama in the world a lil silly from time to time is a good thing

I just got back from Orlando last week and apparently the wine slushies are Amorette’s saving grace! They are a permanent item on their menu so you can enjoy them all year round. They even added an apple cider Riesling to the menu.
So worth it for $8!
