Mac and Cheese
, the go-to meal of toddlers everywhere, has become a bit of a phenomenon at Walt Disney World. Everyone loves it. It comes in a bevvy of styles. And it’s almost always totally awesome.
So here’s a gallery of our favorites!
Mac and Cheese — Polite Pig
The Polite Pig Mac and Cheese is one of the newest additions to our gallery, and it’s divine. We love the shell pasta and how it holds all that tasty cheese sauce. Mmmm.
Baked Mac and Cheese Varieties — Eight Spoon Cafe
It’s impossible for us to choose just one of the mouthwatering options at Eight Spoon Cafe in Animal Kingdom, so we suggest getting one of each. The simple Baked Mac and Cheese is creamy and delish, while the Pulled Pork and the Sweet and Spicy Shrimp versions are interesting and satisfying.
Mac and Cheese — BOATHOUSE
For grown up Mac and Cheese that will blow your mind, try the BOATHOUSE. Their version has additions of andouille sausage and shrimp, making it a filling and multilayered dish.
Pimento Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese; 6 Cheese Mac and Cheese; Bacon Mac and Cheese Burger — Planet Hollywood Observatory
When PHO reopened in the spring of 2017, it really upped the Mac and Cheese game. For starters, they added macaroni and cheese to the already-awesome Pimento Grilled Cheese.
Then, of course, there is the simple Six-Cheese Mac and Cheese, which is anything but simple:
Then, because those two options weren’t enough, there’s a Bacon Mac and Cheese Burger. Why not?
Mac and Cheese — STK Orlando
If you’re looking for full-on cheese overload, order the Mac and Cheese at STK Orlando. It’s served right in the vessel it’s baked in, and there’s a thick blanket of cheese on top. Yes, please!
Mac and Cheese — Jiko
For years, visitors to this upscale table service restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge have raved about the Mac and Cheese. A bobotie version is currently served with the restaurant’s signature Oak-Grilled Filet, and we gotta say, they’re a dynamic duo. But we love the original so much (don’t worry — you can still get the original if you ask for it), we’ve got the recipe, too!
Momma’s Mac and Cheese — Homecomin’
Oh, Momma, we love you. Chef Art Smith is the king of comfort food — and Momma’s Mac and Cheese at his Homecomin’ is a great little bowl of love. This one isn’t as flavorful as we’d like — it’s more subtle (aka needs salt), but if you’re a gourmet mac and cheese lover you’ll likely love this one.
Skip’s Beefy Baked Pasta — Skipper Canteen
If augmented Mac and Cheese is more your jam, sail over to the Skipper Canteen for Skip’s Beefy Baked Pasta. We love the dense savory meat sauce that’s hiding beneath a layer of gooey broiled cheese. It’ll help fortify you for your next Jungle Cruise.
Shrimp Mac and Cheese — Columbia Harbour House
is known for it’s overall awesome menu, and this generous portion of Mac and Cheese with Shrimp is no exception. The shrimp are pretty straight-forward, not offering a whole lot of flavor on their own. But with the creamy mac and cheese, they’re super tasty.
Four-Cheese Macaroni with Pancetta — Mama Melrose’s
Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano
offers a ton of delicious options, and the Four-Cheese Macaroni with Pancetta is no exception. It’s served as the bed for Charred Strip Steak, and it seriously holds its own. We love that the noodle here is penne rather than elbow, and the pancetta takes this Mac and Cheese to the next level.
Crab Mac and Cheese — Shula’s Steak House
is a mecca for steakhouse side dishes, and we love this golden brown Crab Mac and Cheese presentation. The crab is next next level, people! And that crunchy top is a texture experience.
Gratin de Macaroni — Chefs de France
If some of the more complicated French dishes at Chefs de France are a little intimidating, we’re happy to say that the Gratin de Macaroni is a delicious option. With tons of crispy browned cheese on top, its a satisfying bowl of cheesy carbs. Perfect!
Mac and Cheese — Liberty Tree Tavern
When you order the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Patriot’s Platter at lunch or dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern, you’ll get a bowl of this creamy Mac and Cheese. And despite having so many options in this meal, we always find ourselves going back to this. It’s sticky, delicious, and comforting — just what we want to eat at our Magic Kindgom home away from home.
2017 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival: Craft Beers and Active Eats
This is a fresh addition to the list, but it made such a big impression on us on the opening day of the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival that we had to add it immediately. The Zesty Cheeseburger and Cheddar Cheese Macaroni Handwich has the stellar distinction of being served in an edible cone (a throwback to the original handwich served in Disney World years ago), but even without those tasty carbs, the flavorful cheeseburger, cheese, and macaroni combination is totally awesome.
And the Food and Wine Festival doesn’t stop with one winning mac and cheese. Oh, no, friends. There’s another. Loaded Mac ‘n’ Cheese is found at Active Eats this year, and really who cares where it is: you must get this. Twice. That Nueske’s Pepper Bacon? Beyond delicious.

We love the many variations and that Mac and Cheese has become a vessel for so many awesome ingredients. We can’t wait to see what the talented Disney chefs will devise next for our favorite cheesy dish!

Is there anything better than mac with a bunch of cheese? No. There is not.
These all look amazing, I would try every single one. But you really sold me on Skip’s Beefy Baked Pasta at Skipper Canteen. I’ve been thinking about what to get next time we go (not actively, we don’t even have plans for our next vacation lol) but THIS just made my decision for me.
I had no idea there were so many different kinds of mac and cheese in WDW! You could literally eat nothing but mac and cheese for your whole trip and never eat the same thing twice hahaha
