For a limited time, Yachtsman Steakhouse — the Yacht Club’s Signature Restaurant — will host a casual breakfast and lunch.
This option is available in the midst of transition for the Resort’s dining options. The Yacht Club will soon be home to the new Ale & Compass Restaurant, which will serve as the cornerstone for a new Ale & Compass dining concept. The concept will also include a renovated Ale & Compass Lounge and the recently opened Market at Ale & Compass.
The Ale & Compass Restaurant will replace the long-standing Captain’s Grille, which has been operating out of a temporary location at Ariel’s in the Beach Club since May. Now, with the official closure of Captain’s Grille there is a temporary need of a breakfast and lunch options at the Yacht Club. Hence, the Yachtsman’s limited run offerings!
Breakfast and lunch are currently available for Advance Dining Reservations through November 1, 2017 (the new Ale & Compass locations are slated for an October opening, with a confirmed date yet to be announced).

For breakfast, choices include a Pastry Board among the Early Starters, and it’s fun to see the Dark Chocolate Waffles from Captain’s Grille still listed as an Entree (even if I already miss the Lobster Omelet).

Fortunately, both adults and the kiddos have Mickey Waffles as an option 🙂 .

Lunch offerings feature New England Clam Chowder as an Appetizer, and Blackened Fish Tacos and a New England-style Lobster Roll among the Entrees and Sandwiches.

Kids’ Lunch choices include a Sauteed Shrimp Skewer among more traditional kids’s offerings, which can be followed up with a Cupcake Push-Pop.

Hi, OS. So far we haven’t heard that they will take DDP at Yachtsman for breakfast or lunch. If we do, we will update the post!
My husband and I ate at Captain’s Grille for breakfast today at their temporary new location inside the Yachtsman steakhouse. The menu is exactly the same as before. I had the crab cake Benedict and my hubby had the Tailored eggs. These are two of our favorite breakfast entrees from CG. It’s a very nice location and our window seat overlooking the pool gave us a lovely view. Thanks for the tip that the location had changed or it might have been confusing to find. Our server mentioned that they are hoping to reopen in their original location (under the new name) by November 1. We will be counting on dfb to keep us informed. We love the food at Captain’s Grille
