Friends, the 2017 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House is complete, and it’s as grand as ever!
Seriously, the amazing Cast Members/cookie engineers/pastry chefs/magicians have outdone themselves again! The chimney is ready for Santa, the shingles are delightfully snowy, and the attention to detail is everywhere.
Even the view from above is lovely!
There’s even a tiny, adorable GINGERBREAD village on the porch of the gingerbread house. Why not?
You won’t want to miss this perennial favorite. We call him Hangry Santa because we can only assume he looks so ornery because he hasn’t had a gingerbread cookie yet.
Let’s help Hangry Santa. Welcome to the gingerbread house Bake Shop!
The display of treats are completely fragrant and gorgeous. So many choices! So much sugar! We’re never leaving!
Really, it’s what we imagine Santa’s workshop would look like if everything in the workshop was edible.
There’s a handy paper menu so you can scope our your choices before you step up to the counter. Note that there are several gluten-free options for those with allergies, plus two columns of Disney Dining Plan-eligible snacks.
You can always get the classic Gingerbread Shingle. It’s a replica of those used on the roof of the house!
Or go with this new dapper Penguin Cookie in honor of the Floridian’s Mary Poppins penguins. He’s adorable!
As with any good Christmas treats spread, there are lots of other cookies from which to choose as well. And some are downright beautiful! The flower print on this cookie is pretty stunning.
This Mickey-shaped cookie features a holly leaf design and lots of glistening sugar details.
If you’re looking for something a bit more free-form, check out this awesome S’mores Cookie!
And for something that at least sounds a little healthy, the Cranberry Oatmeal Cookie fits the bill.
For a great souvenir, pick up the annual decorative chocolate snowglobe featuring the year, the Gingerbread House, and the Grand Floridian logo!
And this Chocolate Mickey Lollipop. He’s almost too cute to eat. But — as always — I’d go for an ear first. (THESE ARE PERFECT FOR STOCKINGS!)
Another lollipop option is this dense Brownie Tree Pop. That’s one hefty lollipop!
And if you’re looking to splurge a little, these Chocolate Truffle Boxes are a great gift (for others or for yourself!).
You can also pick up your 2017 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House Pins!
And if you stop in Sandy Cove Gifts and Sundries at the Grand Floridian, you’ll find some of the gingerbread house treats available there, too!
This might save you a little time in the House’s line if you’re trying to grab a few stocking stuffers as you wrap up your vacation.

Rachael says
How long is this up for? We are coming the beginning of January and wondered if it would still be there?
Rosie says
This is awesome! Me and my fiancé are getting married at Disney @ the grand Floridian, we’re heading there tomorrow for our food tasting so will definitely have to pop along and check this out! ☺️
Debbie Jacobson says
Do the other resorts have holiday themed goodies like the Grand Floridian?
DFB Sarah says
Debbie, you can find gingerbread displays and treats at Boardwalk Inn, Yacht and Beach Club, and the Contemporary. Other resorts do have seasonal treats (we’ll have a peek of All-Star treats soon — but the holiday sweets are everywhere!).
DFB Sarah says
Rosie, have a blast!!
DFB Sarah says
Rachael, the houses are usually up through the first week or two of January, so hopefully you’ll get to see it!
Carol Croy says
can we please have them sent to us?
Denise A Richardson says
I have been in search for the recipe for the gingerbread that the Grand Floridian uses for their soft and oh so delicious cookies/shingles. Sadly no luck. Is there anyway to have those cookies and gingerbread mailed to me at holiday time. Just preparing ahead. Thanks for your consideration.
DFB Sarah says
Denise, we have not found a way to make that happen. 🙁
Dana C Seccombe says
How long is the gingerbread house up in the Grand Floridian? I will be there the week of January 6th.
DFB Sarah says
Dana, usually it’s up through early January, so you might get lucky and catch it!
