We love to check out all the newest info, grub, and fun at the Disney Parks, and today we’re coming at you hard from Pop Century! There are only a couple of things to report from here — but, man! They are BIG!
First let’s address the future of Disney transportation at Pop, which includes a Disney Skyliner station convenient to Pop and her sister resort Art of Animation. We spotted this Skyliner Map, and it caused a serious ruckus over on our Facebook page! We love the passion, y’all — as much as we love the fact that the Skyliner is going to be a real, live thing!
We already told you about the Skyliner concept art that came out a couple of weeks ago, which sadly did not include artwork for the Pop/AoA station. Still fun to look at! Do you love or hate that they’ll have the station in Hourglass Lake?
In Pop Century food news: Do you like one of these on your trip?
How ’bout one of these?
Yeah, we agree: no trip is complete without a Dole Whip pineapple soft serve (all pineapple or pineapple/vanilla swirl) or a Dole Whip Float (or one of each…ahem). And now you can get them ALL at Pop!
Say what?! If we stay at Pop we can literally end every single Disney day with a Dole Whip? Yes, please!
In the bakery case at Pop you can also grab an Emoji Cupcake. Which we will enjoy when not drowning ourselves in Dole Whip. 😉 Sign us up for our next Disney trip!

Tony says
Why “Pineapple Soft Serve” instead of “Dole Whip”?
Essie says
I am so excited about the Skyliner, but can they carry wheelchairs?
Catherine says
Arriving in 3 weeks and my DD is going to flip that she can get her beloved Dole Whip at our resort!!
Loving the idea of the gondolas as another option for getting around Disney! Looking forward to seeing the Pop/AoA station concept art once it’s released.
Jason says
Will the Skyliner all open together or will pop/aoa be a second phase?
Michele says
I love Dole Whip and DW floats! This is great news for me!!! My husband will enjoy all the chocolate offers. Thank you, WDW!
AJ says
Tony — They tend to do that outside of the Magic Kingdom. It’s called Pineapple Soft Serve at Animal Kingdom, Epcot, etc. Must be a licensing thing. It’s the same stuff.
DFB Sarah says
Jason, we haven’t heard anything about the Skyliner opening in phases — but we are chomping at the bit for more information!
DFB Sarah says
Essie, we haven’t seen any information about this, but one would imagine so… I sure hope they do!
Janice says
This confirms it! If there is Dole Whip, we are definitely staying at Pop Century again this summer! Sorry POFQ!
Amanda says
I like that Dole Whips are being offered in more locations, but would it kill Disney to give us more flavors instead of only pineapple and vanilla? I understand those flavors fit in with the tropical themes at the Poly and Aloha Isle, but at their other locations, I would like to see more. At one stand in St. Augustine, they had chocolate and strawberry (which are also delicious) in addition to pineapple and vanilla. Surely, Disney can do better.
Steve and Nicole says
The only reason MK serves “Dole Whip”, instead of Pineapple Soft Serve is that Dole sponsors the stand and not the other stands. (Pretty much exactly what AJ said). Our local grocery store, Stew Leonard’s, serves Dole Whip because they have a partnership with Dole, while Busch Gardens Williamsburg sells Pineapple Soft Serve since they don’t. I’ve seen the packaging, and it’s all coming from the same place.
Heather says
I completely missed this. I guess since it wasn’t listed as Dole Whip on the menu. I just left Pop on Friday. We went to the Polynesian for it twice.
Amanda Y. says
Awesome, I missed this a few weeks ago-bummer! I wish they had more flavors too as someone said above. Be forewarned if planning to stay at Pop Century–the new rooms are modern looking but strongly smell of wood. My allergies wouldn’t let us stay, we had to change to a non-renovated part of the resort! Thankfully it hadn’t all been renovated yet, but if you have allergies or asthma, I would avoid this resort for a year or two!
