Disneyland is adding a new dining location in Adventureland, now being called The Tropical Hideaway, between The Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise.
The former Aladdin’s Oasis (and former former Tahitian Terrace) will be repurposed into “a popular rest stop for Adventureland locals and weary explorers alike,” says Disney. “Guests will be able to rub elbows with their favorite skippers in an exotic traders’ market, featuring all of the sights, sounds and flavors of the tropics.”
Disney has been vague with details, but we do know that the spot will not be a table service location like skipper Canteen in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, nor will it serve alcohol (in keeping with Disneyland’s dry philosophy).
We look forward to more details soon!

I just hope it will serve the Skipper Canteen’s Orinoco Ida’s Cachapas, delicious little corn cake morsels of heaven.

This sounds great but I hope they serve amazing cocktails like Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar?? Disneyland really needs to come into the present and serve alcohol, if you go to California Adventure their lounges are always so crowded, so why not have a great lounge at Disneyland?
