The Disney World Star Wars Hotel is coming your way with the opening of Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios! Today we have a few more peeks behind the curtain with newly released details and concept art photos!
Disney’s buzzword with this hotel is “immersive.” They’re pushing the concept that once you check into the Star Wars Hotel, you’d basically better be a HUGE Star Wars fan, because you won’t be in Kansas anymore (or, more accurately, in Orlando anymore).
Once entering, guests “board a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold all around them.” Oh, and no sunlight for you, suckas — you’re looking exclusively at space through every window.
When it comes to location, the hotel will “be seamlessly connected” to Galaxy’s Edge — which makes me think there will be an entrance to the park directly from the hotel (a la California Adventure from the Grand Californian in Disneyland). That hasn’t been announced, but it would be cool.
Oh, and if you’re into Star Wars cosplay, this place is for you. Disney’s already inviting you to dress the part while staying at the Star Wars Hotel!
Speaking of staying there — here’s a brand new piece of concept art showing one of the Star Wars hotel rooms!
Bunks, bedrolls, a giant window showing a view of various planets, moons, asteroids, and — we hope — the DEATH STAR?!??! That would be cool, right? Instead of fire drills, there are Darth Drills? We’ll have to wait and see!

Are you ready to stay at the Disney World Star Wars Hotel?? Let us know in the comments!
Becky says
Yes, I’m ready. I want to stay at the Staw Wars hotel curious if it will be a room rate or person rate for the stay. I am hearing there’s a set amount of days you can stay and nothing beyond
Corrie says
I’m sure it will be like the other resorts on property room rate plus anything over two people extra person charge. I forget where I read that it will be in the Deluxe hotel category, and why not there are plenty of Star Wars fans who will pay a DELUXE fee amount a night to stay!
donna says
any idea if expected cost . do we know if it’ll open next year.
dave says
I say they will create a new classification, “Ultra deluxe”! All will surpass $1200/nt and will start with star wars, and continue to top floors of new Coronado resort. I bet they will have pkg for star wars incl specialty theme based adventures sitting in x-wing fighters etc which will boost top pkg to $2000/nt
DFB Sarah says
Donna, we haven’t yet seen any details about cost or exact opening. We’ll post when Disney releases the info!
DFB Sarah says
Becky, we haven’t heard anything official from Disney regarding pricing.
Michael says
Will this be DVC or just straight hotel?
Oleg Chaikovsky says
Boy I sure hope the beds are a lot more comfortable than what’s implied in the art. Those cots really make it look like u should never be in your room.
David Voros says
I read awhile ago that there was 2 night maximum and that the cost would be around $1,000 a night per person.
Happy Trails.
DFB Sarah says
Michael, as far as we know, it’ll be a hotel — no DVC. But that could change.
Tony says
I am so ready for this hotel. After all these years it will be so exciting to live in this world. I will be 60 if this opens in 2019 and it is much overdo. I can’t wait to experience it.
Barbara says
I read somewhere that it will cost $1,000/night. Most people wouldn’t be able to afford this. I hope people will be able to walk around and see it without actually staying there. It sounds like a great resort to at least be able to see.
