We first reported this news back in January, when it was announced that the Bakeri would be closing for a renovation that will expand the seating and improve the overall flow. And we heard your cries, loud and clear:

Fear not, bold Vikings! Midnattssol Bakeri is a temporary kiosk located in the Norway Pavilion, and it will soon be the current home of some of our beloved Norwegian eats!

Phew! That was a close one! The kiosk isn’t quite open yet, but it’s coming soon.
And in the meantime, guests in need of sustenance (or sugar!) can find a savory sandwich, Lefse, a festive Frozen-inspired cupcake, Troll Horns, and School Bread at the beer kiosk in Norway.

We know: some of your beloved treats are missing. We feel your pain. But hopefully the new kiosk will stock a bit more than the few items currently available. Plus — the renovation will make it easier to get those treats in the future. And we’re glad there’s a way for us to get some of them in the meantime!

We stopped by Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe a few times during my appearances at the International Epcot Festival of the Arts, trying to snag our favourite “Vegetable Torte” (or as the placard menu always confusingly called it, the “vegetable souffle” , as it was not in any way a souffle) – a mushroom, veggie & smoked gouda filled savoury vegetarian option. The last couple times it was not on offer – I’m wondering now if it was gone because they were closing up shop getting ready for the upcoming refurbishment or if they’ve gotten rid of it. I sure hope not – it was a meal-worthy veg option we loved so much! That and a Nudel-Gratin from Sommerfest or a Veg-Chikn entree from the Liberty Inn were just perfect as locals to drop in at Epcot and get a relatively healthful meal for the evening >___<
My fav bakery in WS! Please DFB staff, contact them with some pull and get the rullekake back on the menu!!!! It was the most moist, flavorful, refreshing moderately sweet bakery item they had in my opinion.
The best thing on their menu for my money is the Rice Cream. I hope that when the kiosk is open that they have the Rice Cream, if not, we’ll wait til next time!
