Are you ready to become part of a BIGGER UNIVERSE? Because Disney — together with Marvel Studios and Marvel Themed Entertainment — is developing three news areas that “will champion the next generation of Super Heroes.” New heroic experiences are on the way to Disneyland Paris, Hong Kong Disneyland, and DISNEYLAND RESORT in California!
Disney California Adventure
Disneyland Resort will debut an entirely new Super Hero-themed land in 2020, with further anticipated experiences beyond that.
As part of the evolution of Disney California Adventure park, the transformation will result in a “completely immersive Super Hero universe,” bringing together The Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man, and the Avengers. The new land will be anchored by the Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! attraction, in the current “a bug’s land” area.
Note that “a bug’s land” will close entirely in late summer to make way for this new land. See ya later Chew-Chew Train!
More Marvel in More Disney Destinations
A new Marvel-themed area will also debut at Walt Disney Studios Park, as part of the multi-year expansion of Disneyland Paris. The previously announced transformation of the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will result in the attraction’s focus switching to Marvel, featuring Iron Man and the Avengers, and set to make its debut in 2020.
In the meantime, though, Disneyland Paris will host the Marvel Summer of Super Heroes from June 10th through September 30th, when heroes will bring to life a new live-action production with projections and “cutting-edge special effects.”
And a multi-year expansion plan for Hong Kong Disneyland includes the addition of a new themed area with an attraction allowing guests to team up with Ant-Man and The Wasp, joining the already popular Iron Man Experience.
So get ready to channel your inner Super Hero, because “Recruitment begins soon!”

I love StarWars but I would trade it for Marvel Land in a heartbeat! Hopefully, something is in the works for Disney World. Maybe they will add Wakanda to Animal Kingdom!
