Great advice, AJ; another well done video.

I really loved your video on what to pack. It was spot on. I’ve traveled to WDW about 30 times and Disneyland 1. I even got a few tips. Thanks for info….

Comfortable shoes are a must, but my hard and fast rule for my family is that everyone has to bring *two* different pairs of shoes. Shoes wear differently on your feet, so by alternating each day you will really save your feet. Also, if you happen to get pair #1 drenched on Splash Mountain, you have a backup.
A couple of things that are standard for us are an old prescription pill bottle for carrying quarters and pennies for penny press machines (we also buy inexpensive pressed penny albums online), and making sure we have a Sharpie handy for our autograph books.

Where are you able to order family shirts like those in the video?
DFB Sarah says
Mindy, Amazon mostly! But you can also find them on sites like Etsy. 🙂

Hi Sarah,
Love your videos! Question, our family (11 of us) will be going to WDW during Mother’s Day this year and I was wondering if you have any suggestions or recommendations on what to do, which Park to visit, or how make our trip extra Magical?
Do you think we can get a celebration button for being mommys?
Pamela says
Hi Sarah, I was wondering, would you suggest buying autograph books online before we get to the parks or should we buy them when we are there?
On the ShopDisney website they sell for $10 +Sh&H, is that the same price as in WDW?
Thanks a ton!
DFB Sarah says
Pamela, I believe you can get autograph books on-site for $10 and up, so it depends on your preference: Would you like to see them in person and make a choice, or do you feel more comfortable having one packed and ready to go? (I’m a packer and a planner, so I buy mine ahead of time, but I know lots of folks prefer to see things in person before they make a choice!) As for Mothers’ Day, there are Mothers’ Day brunches held at various restaurants. We should get word of these soon (and we’ll post when we do!). If I were planning something special and didn’t mind spending a little extra money, I’d probably splurge on a dessert party for Mothers’ Day or plan a special ADR somewhere that the moms in the party would love. Maybe take a poll of the moms in your group, and make sure you hit some of their favorite rides or attractions that day! As for the celebration buttons: definitely ask! Resort front desks, guest services, and most indoor merchandise spots will have pins — and you can usually get them customized! You may find folks online, too, who sell custom pins if you’re interested in that! Have a wonderful trip!

Our family’s new travel “must”: a power strip
It keeps all our phones and devices charging in one spot, which leaves you more space on night stands and bathroom counters.
