Greetings from Epcot’s Future World!!
We stopped by the Electric Umbrella today and were surprised to find that the menu has received a pretty substantial makeover.
My immediate reaction, honestly? I was kind of bummed! I know that Electric Umbrella isn’t really a prime destination when it comes to dining in Epcot, where so much variety can be enjoyed — especially around World Showcase.
But that’s exactly why it has been fun to to find some truly decent eats in this Future World Counter Service spot over the past couple years. The French Dip Burger has actually been one of the tops in regards to Quick Service burgers for some time now. And I’ve totally enjoyed the Sausage and Pepper Sandwich and the unique Veggie Naan Wich even more recently. Good surprises, all, for a place that mostly flies under the radar.
But they’re all gone from the new menu.
And in their place? Well, let’s go down the list. First we’ve got the Mojo Pork Burger, which is similar to the previous French Dip Burger in that it’s another meat-topped-with-even-more-meat sandwich.
Marinated Mojo Pork tops the 1/3 pound burger, and it’s all drizzled with a Cilantro Lime Aioli and served with fries.
And much as I may miss the French Dip Burger, I’d be lying if I said the new Brisket Sandwich didn’t have me intrigued.
Why? Because that brisket is marinated with au jus and Guinness (!!!) and placed on a toasted roll, then topped with homemade beer cheese sauce!
And the new Vegetable Quinoa Salad might be a decent replacement for the Veggie Naan Wich for vegetarian guests. The quinoa is plated with cauliflower, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, and edamame and topped with an agave lime dressing.
But still… couldn’t they just tuck some Naan on the side here?
Anyway, several Counter Service standards remain on the menu, just like always. So you’ll still find things like a Cheeseburger, Chicken Breast Nuggets, and Three-Cheese Flatbread up for grabs.
And remember… Electric Umbrella is one of three restaurants in Epcot that offer Mobile Order, which allows guests to preorder and prepay for their food so they can bypass the ordering queue upon arrival.
Which means on my next visit, I can try that new Brisket Sandwich even sooner! (Seriously, I love Mobile Order — you can read all about how it works here!)
Learn all you need to know about Mobile Order by visiting our Mobile Order Page!
And for now, that’s a wrap from Future World!
What do you think of the new offerings at Electric Umbrella? Please let us know with a comment!

In the over 20 years that we have been visiting WDW, we have never eaten at the Electric Umbrella. There are just too many options at Epcot that are much much better then the typical burger place.

Please, please tell me the kids GF Mac -n-cheese is still there! One of the little girls we travel with is Celiac. It’s very difficult to get good Mac-n-cheese anywhere as flour is typically added to the cream. This is one place that has It and is her favorite.

Ah, we love the Electric Umbrella! Sometimes, we just need a quick burger or chicken nuggets and fries, before carrying on with the fun, and the EU always delivers. We absolutely LOVED the mac & cheese burger from a couple of years ago, and were quite upset when that went. I was never sure about the French dipped burger, I’m not a fan of soggy bread, and the new Mojo burger looks a bit sad and boring to me, but I do like the look of the new brisket sandwich!
Roll on October …..

That salad doesn’t look bad, but they got rid of the veggie sandwich at Columbia Harbour House, falafel burger at Cosmic Ray’s, and now the naanwich here and just offer salad instead at all locations. Vegetarians don’t want to eat salad all the time!!

Brisket and sandwich looks yummy, but without the processed cheese !!

Melissa, we didn’t notice the GF mac and cheese option — only the regular kids’ menu mac. Try emailing [email protected] to see if they can tell you whether or not it’s still available (and maybe where else in the World it might be!). Good luck!
