Welcome to the worlds of Tomorrow, Yesterday, and Fantasy — Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom! We’re bringing you What’s New in the ol’ MK — from Spring Break week, y’all!
Did we mention it was Spring Break week? Main Street, U.S.A., knows!
And here’s the line for Space Mountain. All the way to Auntie Gravity’s. Because Spring Break Week.
But let’s see What’s New, shall we? Prepare yourself for many menu updates, one must-have merchandise item, and a Purple Wall refresh!
Magic Kingdom Menus and Eats
(i.e. Magic Kingdom’s Starbucks location!) has a nifty solution for coffee lovers on busy days: a Brewed Coffee Only Line!
This line is at the front of the store and has a dedicated register and cast members for guests who need their brewed coffee (available in every size).
The Brewed Coffee Only Line should reduce wait times for those looking for simple brewed coffee and therefore reduce the size of the rest of the line. Here’s hoping!
Moving down Main Street, Casey’s Corner has a new Hot Diggity Dog of the Month: Cuban! This is Casey’s signature all-beef hot dog topped with Mojo-marinated pulled pork, dill pickles, swiss cheese, and yellow mustard. Sounds delicious to us!
Hanging a right into Tomorrowland, the Sno Cone Cart is back in operation, just in time for the spring and summer temperatures! You can grab a frozen treat here as well as almonds and popcorn!
At Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, the menu has seen several changes. Chocolate Cake, a side of Green Beans (NOOOOO!!!!!), the Barbecued Pork Bacon Cheeseburger, the Barbecued Pork Sandwich, the Falafel Burger, and the 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken have been removed.
A Pulled Pork Platter, 6-Piece Chicken Nugget Meal, and that Sonny Eclipse Dessert (see our review here!) have been added. These changes seem a little imbalanced to us — and we know lots of you will miss the Rotisserie Chicken and Falafel Burger! I, personally, will dearly miss the green beans (they were SO GOOD!). Here’s hoping those guest favorites make it back on the menu after Spring Break.
Here’s that cute Sonny Eclipse Dessert!
The Cooling Station has added an All-Beef Hot Dog with Chips to its small menu, making it a convenient spot to grab a bite on the way to your next ride line!
Pinocchio Village Haus‘ menu has seen a little shake up. The Caesar Salad entree, the Caprese Salad side, and Chocolate Cake are gone. The Caesar as a side has also been removed.
Options for sides now include a new Antipasto Side Salad or a Regular Side Salad (romaine, onions, balsamic vinaigrette). They’ve also added an Antipasto Salad entree and an Italian Cream Cake dessert.
The Italian Cream Cake is terrific!
At Gaston’s Tavern, the Rose Cupcake has been removed from the menu.
Guests can still get a Trio of Macarons, a Warm Cinnamon Roll, and a Chocolate Croissant to curb their sweet cravings here.
Cheshire Cafe has added a Ham and Cheese Pretzel. We’d previously seen this at The Lunching Pad and a couple of other places.
And don’t forget you can grab one of our favorite snacks at Cheshire Cafe: the Cheshire Cat Tail!
Over in Frontierland the Liberty Square Turkey Leg Cart is open again!
Columbia Harbour House has made even more changes to the menu! The beloved Anchors Aweigh Sandwich is still here — but it’s going by “Tuna Sandwich” now. Meanwhile, the Build Your Own Combination Platter, Shrimp Macaroni and Cheese, Broccoli Peppercorn Salad, Steamed Fresh Vegetable side, Blueberry Cobbler, and Monin Flavored Syrups are all gone!
New items include a Fried Shrimp and Fish Plate, a Chicken Breast Nuggets and Fish Plate, a Chicken Breast Nuggets entree (used to be one of the Build Your Own Combination Platter options), a Shrimp Wedge Salad, a Macaroni and Cheese side, and Peach Cobbler. Also of note: the By Land and Sea Plates used to come with a choice of sides; now they come standard with Corn on the Cob and Fries.
Tortuga Tavern has added Pepper Jack Pretzels to its limited menu.
And The Lion King Treats line of snacks now has Gummi Animals.
Magic Kingdom Merchandise
In case you missed it in all of our social media, Millennial Pink Minnie Ears are available at the Magic Kingdom! This is a sweet color for spring!
And speaking of trendy merch, guests will find this small display of millennial-friendly finds near the famous Purple Wall!
And speaking of the Purple Wall, it’s getting a little makeover!
Try to contain your excitement/outrage! 😉

Great list and photos, thank you for putting all this together. Is the date in the title correct, though? Says 2015 but I think this update is for 2018, yes?
Wenders says
What’s New in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom?: April 10, 20…15? 🙂
Swaggerwagon says
Holy cow! $11 for a tuna sandwich is shocking even for Disney.
Liz says
Woohoo! I’m back in my 30s again! 😉
Caryn says
Cosmic Ray’s needs the Beyond Burger. It would be perfect with the toppings bard. We didn’t love the falafel burger, but it least it was a veg option.
Magic Kingdom is the worst of the four parks for veg, and this just makes it worse.
Norman Cavey says
Cosmic Rays HAS a dinner menu that starts at 4pm. This has chicken and ribs and green beans mashed potatoes.
Josh says
These menu changes seem very tasteless! Disney has removed vegetarian and healthy options in one fell swoop. Shame, Disney!
Erica G says
The lion king gummies are so cute, which locations carry these? Somewhere in AK?
DFB Sarah says
Erica G., The Lion King treat line is sold all over Walt Disney World!
Sara says
Hopefully the shrimp plate will be back on the Columbia Harbour House menu in September. I don’t want two entrees. I just want the fried shrimp. I also hope the peach cobbler is still on the menu. It was there in September 2014 and 2015. It changed to blueberry in 2016.
