This Sunday, April 22, 2018, will be a BIG day in Disney World! Not only is it the 20th Anniversary of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but it’s also — of course! — Earth Day!
But let’s say your Earth Day plans involve visiting Disney Springs instead, or perhaps a Disney World Resort or two? Well, Disney’s got your covered with specialty snacks in several other spots, too! Now through Sunday, you’ll find Earth Day Cupcakes at Wilderness Lodge and the Yacht & Beach Club.
Roaring Fork is your Wilderness Lodge spot for a chocolate cupcake filled with cookies and cream, topped with vanilla buttercream, cookies and cream crumble, chocolate rocks, and an edible garden!
The Counter Service locations at Yacht and Beach Club — The Market at Ale & Compass and Beach Club Marketplace, respectively — are serving a “Dirt and Worms” chocolate cupcake filled with chocolate pudding and topped with chocolate buttercream, cookie crumbs, a sugar flower, and jelly candy “worms.”
On Sunday only, find an Earth Day Cupcake at the Contemporary Resort’s Contempo Cafe. An edible chocolate flower pot will be filled with chocolate pastry cream, chocolate buttercream, and chocolate cookie crumble and topped with a buttercream flower and a chocolate Earth Day sign.
And if you’re in Disney Springs, you’ll have from April 22nd through April 28th to find a Cactus Macaron Lollipop at Amorette’s Patisserie! It’s made of three French macarons filled with pistachio ganache, and topped with icing.
Earth Day will see the kickoff of a two-week celebration at Animal Kingdom with the Party for the Planet, and that event will have its own specialty food offerings like Earth Day Cupcakes, and Impossible Burgers — they’re plant-based!
You can read all about the specialty offerings at Animal Kingdom here.

The flower pot dessert from the Contempo Cafe is interesting. I love the creative ideas that they come up with!
