We. Are. HERE… at PIXAR PIER!!!
The transformation is complete. What was once Paradise Pier in Disney California Adventure in Disneyland Resort is now Pixar Pier — an entire Land made up of four neighborhoods celebrating the fun and friendship represented in the films and characters of the Pixar films.
The Land’s official opening is this Saturday, June 23rd. But we’re here for a special media-only event today and tomorrow so we get to give you a sneak peek!!
Are you ready to join us 🙂 ? Then let’s step into Pixar Pier!
Our first stop is…
Incredibles Park
Incredicoaster
The centerpiece of Incredibles Park is the Incredicoaster, which takes YOU on a race alongside the Parr family to get Jack-Jack back from his escape!
And YOU can join us on the coaster on our full ride-through video below! (It’s also on our our DFB YouTube Channel!)
You see, the Incredibles were honored with the coaster in their hometown of Municiberg…
But, as it turns out, both Jack Jack and fashionista Edna Mode were both too short to ride. So, off to the VIP Lounge they went, until Jack Jack made his dash! It’s a wild chase from there…
…and the chosen treat to tempt Jack-Jack to return to the family is COOKIES!
Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums
And THAT’S exactly what you’ll find at Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums!
We’ll be returning with a full review of this snack kiosk — along with ALL the other new food stops on Pixar Pier — soon. But in the meantime, you KNOW you wanna see the cookies!!
THIS is a Jack-Jack Cookie Num Num — the kiosk’s signature treat.
This HUGE, warm chocolate chip cookie is served alongside the gluten-friendly IncrediCookie and the Jack-Jack Shortbread Cookie — which we’ll show you in our full review! And to wash them all down? Milk, of course!
It comes in your choice of strawberry, chocolate, soy, vanilla almond milk, and 2%.
Next, we’re heading to…
Pixar Promenade
Welcome to Pixar Promenade, where the Pixar Pal-A-Round takes center stage.
Twenty-four gondolas feature pairs of Pixar pals. But we’re so happy that the face of Mickey Mouse is still prominently displayed on the Paradise Bay side of the wheel!
Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff — Coming Soon!
The Promenade is also where you’ll find Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff when it opens later this summer!
Bing Bong will be delivering all the classic Disney treats you know and love, like Caramel Apples, Cake Pops, Mickey Krispy Treats, and more… all in playful Pixar themes, like the Bing Bong and Rainbow Unicorn Apples!
We’ll see a whole line of Cake Pops based on the Inside Out Emotions, and more Pixar friends.
You’ll also find some Bing Bong exclusives like Bing Bong’s very own Sweet Candy Tears.
Angry Dogs
We’ll be back with our full review for Bing Bong’s when it opens later this summer. But keep an eye out much sooner for our full review of… Angry Dogs!!
Anger from Inside Out is serving up hot dogs!
But you better watch out. Because the angrier he gets, the more he turns up the HEAT on those dogs!
The signature Angry Dog is a spicy all-beef hot dog, which comes with a small bag of “Hot Fries.”
But if you aren’t quite hoppin’ mad (or simply spice-averse), you may want to choose the Slightly Annoyed Dog — HA! — served with potato chips.
The best part about Angry Dogs? There are different toppings and sauces for your dogs that up the spice level, too!
Spoiler Alert: Angry Dogs provided us with our first Food Hack at Pixar Pier, which we’ll let you in on in our review! But for now, there’s more to see…
Games of the Boardwalk
Like the Games of the Boardwalk! Featuring Heimlich’s Candy Corn Toss…
…Wall-E Space Race…
…La Luna Star Catcher…
..and Bullseye Stallion Stampede!
Don’t forget to stop by the Snack Cart.
And be sure to grab some Rainbow Cotton Candy before or after you play your boardwalk game!
(It tastes like sugar. Not rainbows.)
And speaking of boardwalks…
Toy Story Boardwalk
Toy Story Midway Mania remains the top attraction on the new Toy Story Boardwalk.
Poultry Palace
But now, the Boardwalk also presents the Poultry Palace!
If you’ve got hankerin’ for a Turkey Leg while you’re hanging out on Pixar Pier, this GIGANTIC FUN MEAL is your stop!
Aside from the already-famous Turkey Legs, the menu features a Chicken Drumstick Box… in the BEST. PACKAGING. EVER!
You can also grab Corn on the Cob: buttered or chili-lime!
Señor Buzz Churros
And Señor Buzz Churros serves up — what else?! — CHURROS!
Disneyland is legendary for its colorful and flavorful variations on the classic Churro, and here you’ll find the Caliente Churro and the Cinnamon Sugar Galaxy Churro.
We’ll be back with our review of both Señor Buzz Churros and Poultry Palace right here soon!
Jessie’s Critter Carousel
And remember, Jessie’s Critter Carousel will open in 2019, so get ready to saddle up with Jessie’s critter pals from Woody’s Roundup from Toy Story 2. (It’s currently on pre-order by Al for Al’s Toy Barn 😉 . )
The fifty-six critter friends will feature a turtle, snake, buzzard, ram, skunk, raccoon, and more (like two cozy logs that a family of owls will call their home).
Inside Out Headquarters
Inside Out Headquarters will be located on the western end of Pixar Pier. Look for this colorful “playground for the emotions” to debut a brand new attraction in 2019!
The family-friendly Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind will be… well, “full of emotions!”
Lamplight Lounge
Of course, in addition to the neighborhoods, there is also the highly anticipated Lamplight Lounge!
Lamplight Lounge takes the place of the former Cove Bar and Ariel’s Grotto at what is now the Pixar Pier entryway.
The spot offers upstairs and downstairs seating along with terrific waterfront views of Pixar Pier!
The spot pays tribute to the artists who bring the Pixar stories to life… in about a million different ways!
Before we take a full tour in our review, here’s just a tiny glimpse of the scene that ultimately presents everything from sketch art, to Pixar film-themed toys and memorabilia, to tributes to characters and the artists who bring them to life all over the restaurant.
We’ll be back with a full review soon, but here’s a first glimpse at the “California gastro-pub cuisine, playfully presented!” What the heck… why don’t we start with dessert first? The warm Donuts with Dipping Sauces are already a hit!
Of course, there are more than a few savory bites to tempt you, too…
And — as promised! — the famous Lobster Nachos from Cove Bar have returned!
And to wash it all down? Well, there are more than a few options…
Keep an eye out for our full review of Lamplight Lounge coming soon!
P.S. We’ve already learned a Lamplight Lounge secret… Check it out here!
Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats
And here’s friendly reminder… or maybe it’s an adorable reminder, because even though Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats has been open since the beginning of May, it’s still very much part of the new Pixar Pier (located in the entry to Pixar Pier, like Lamplight Lounge).
Both the Lemon Dole Whip AND the Pixar Pier Parfait (Lemon Dole Whip mixed with Blue Raspberry Slushy) are already huge hits!
Stay Tuned for More from Pixar Pier!
Be sure to follow us on Instagram for a lot more fun from Pixar Pier… PLUS we’ll be back soon with full reviews of all the new eateries! In the meantime, remember…
