Among the outstanding dining experiences in Epcot’s France Pavilion at Walt Disney World is a L’Artisan des Glaces, the pavilion’s quick service ice cream and sorbet spot.
This charming little (and we do mean little) shop used to be France’s pastry shop Boulangerie Patisserie, which was replaced, relocated, and renamed Boulangerie Patisserie Les Halles about five years ago.
But what L’Artisan des Glaces lacks in space, it more than makes up for in quality.
With more than a dozen flavors of ice cream and sorbet crafted by hand, there’s not a bad frozen treat in the bunch. Rotating flavors may include Caramel Fleur de Sel, Candied Peanuts with Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge, Mango, and Mixed Berries!
The display case is brilliantly lit (with icy Mickey ears) so you can see all of the day’s options. Flavors can change daily, so you’ll definitely want to consider the choices of the day!
I went with a completely refreshing duo: Mango and Strawberry Sorbets in a Waffle Cone.
This was perrrrrfect for the hot day (plus it sort of matches the ice cream pictured on the shop’s window, so that’s fun!)!
Prefer your ice cream in sandwich form? We love the Brioche Ice Cream Sandwiches here. The warm, pressed bread seals in the frozen ice cream for an enjoyable hot/cold snack experience!
You can also enjoy a Macaron Ice Cream Sandwich, combining two stellar, large macarons and a scoop of the ice cream. This is super rich and sweet.
And who can forget the Ice Cream Martini? Not us. We will never forget. 😉
L’Artisan des Glaces is well worth the trip around World Showcase, and it’s virtually guaranteed to keep you cool and satisfied (at least until you get to Japan and need a Kaki Gori, but we digress…).

The brioche ice cream sandwich is the very best ice cream anything I’ve ever had. Coconut/white chocolate ice cream with strawberry sauce is my jam. Unbelievably amazing.

L’Artesian des Glaces should sell their sorbet to the public and make revenue. IT’S the best sorbet around.
