LOTS of news coming out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios today! We’ve been part of a Media Preview for Disney World’s newest land which opens TOMORROW: Toy Story Land! But we also got to hear and see more about what’s in store for another Land opening in the park in late fall of 2019: Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
When guests set foot on the never-before-seen planet of Batuu, they will have the chance to catch up with familiar characters and meet new ones. Ultimately, we will each “discover our own Star Wars stories.”
When we explore the remote Black Spire Outpost on Batuu, we’ll be completely immersed in the “sights, sounds, and smells” as part of our own Star Wars adventure.
The Outpost is not only a private port for smugglers, but also a “safe haven” for those who hope to avoid the expanding reach of the First Order.
Part of the experience will be the two signature attractions, one set “right in the middle of a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.” And we were told it is already being described as “the most epic attraction” that Disney has ever produced!
In the second attraction, YOUR ACTIONS on board the Millennium Falcon will “have consequences that will follow you back into the Outpost!”
In what will be the largest single in-land expansion in the company’s history, we’re told that “every detail will help visitors suspend disbelief.”
Visit our Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge page for more information!
And of course, Disneyland will welcome Galaxy’s Edge, too, in Summer 2019!

This place will be packed for years!

I agree Essie, hopefully Disney finds a way to go to 4 fast pass system and HS will now move to the top spot of most crowded. It will take years for things to calm down there so maybe Flight of Passage will get under 60 min wait regularly lol. The problem with Star Wars is that it crosses generations so unlike Toy Story land which appeals to a specific age group, Galaxy’s Edge will be shoulder to shoulder for years!
