Though you can find Dole Whip (the famous Pineapple Soft-serve) at more than a couple of places outside the Disney World parks these days, it’s long had a special place at the Polynesian Village Resort before it started popping up in other locations.
Dole Whip’s current home at the Resort is Pineapple Lanai.
And it’s now the latest place where you can have it spiked with RUM!
Coruba Coconut Rum, to be precise! Pineapple Lanai joins the growing list of spots where you can enjoy your Dole Whip with rum, which also includes its nearby neighbor at the Polynesian, Trader Sam’s Tiki Terrace.
Here’s the ULTIMATE LIST of where you can get your spiked Dole Whip these days…
Polynesian Village Resort
The Tiki Terrace is where you can enjoy the drinkable Dole Whip with Barbancourt Pango Rum under the name of the Spikey Pineapple!
And here’s a tip! Now, you may not find it served all the time, but Barefoot Pool Bar at the Polynesian sometimes carries their own version, the Frosty Pineapple.
Animal Kingdom
In Animal Kingdom, Tamu Tamu Refreshments serves Dole Whip and also presents a Dark Rum option in addition to the choice of Coconut Rum, if you prefer.
(This is not to be confused with the Night Blossom… which you can now also get with rum in Animal Kingdom. But I digress.)
Epcot
You’ll also often find spiked Dole Whip variations at certain Epcot Festivals such as the Flower & Garden Festival, where it’s typically served with Parrot Bay Coconut Rum at Pineapple Promenade.
Typhoon Lagoon
If you’re making a splash at Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, stop by Typhoon Tilly’s.
That’s where you’ll find Dole Whip with the option to add your choice of Coruba Coconut Rum or Myer’s Original Dark Rum.
Art of Animation Resort
Spiked Dole Whip is known as the Captain’s Pineapple — another sippable version — at The Drop Off Pool Bar in the Art of Animation Resort.
Disney’s BoardWalk
Stop by BoardWalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas on Disney’s BoardWalk!
Look for the sippable spiked Dole Whip under the name of Captain’s Seaside Sensation.
Of course, you’ll always find Dole Whip at its signature spot: Aloha Isle in Magic Kingdom. Only remember…
… you WON’T find it spiked here! (So far, alcohol is still only available in Magic Kingdom’s Table Service restaurants.)
So… where — and how?! — do you take your Dole Whip these days??

I thought there was a spot in Disney Springs? Is is that one long gone? How about Food and Wine? (Asking for a friend…)
Kelly says
I may be in the minority, but I HATED the spiked Dole Whip. Give me a regular one any day. Or better yet, a Citrus Swirl.
Fritz says
I have to agree with Kelly. Alcohol seems to ruin the flavor.

you can also get it at the margarita stand on the boardwalk, under the name “captain’s seaside sensation.” it’s advertised as a pineapple smoothie with rum, but they’re not fooling me. 😉
