With Christmas just around the corner (well, in terms of Walt Disney World, anyway), we’ll be ringing in holiday cheer in the parks before you know it! The 2018 Holiday merchandise is starting to hit the shelves in Disney Parks so you can remember your summer vacation in Disney World as you’re decking the halls this December.
And while we love many of the new designs, there’s one that we think might cause a little stir… ;-D
Here’s a peek at some of the festive decorations and home decor we’ve found already!
The Good Tidings ornament shows the changing tide from the mod Holiday merchandise of the past couple of years back to a classic Victorian Christmas feel. We love the lettering on this, and the colors really are a gorgeous contrast.
With this tree skirt, Mickey as Santa Claus is joined by Minnie as a festive herd of reindeer pull their sleigh through a winter wonderland.
The couple can also be spotted… well, coupling, I guess, in the Holiday Cheer line.
OK, is it just me, or is this a little weird?
Have we seen Mickey and Minnie making out in merchandise before?!
The same image of Minnie and Mickey kissing beneath a snowy sky at near what appears to be Cinderella Castle is featured on this throw as well.
Sense a theme this year?
I really do like these flameless, light-up candles which are safe to place anywhere. They come in a Mickey-and-Minnie pairing that look great together or alone.
The trio of musical it’s a small world toy soldiers are a charming mantle piece for the holidays, too! Just wind them up and they really play!
So – ready or not! — it’s time to start thinking about spreading (or picking up!) some Holiday Cheer…
… the next time you’re in Disney World!

Out of curiosity, what do the toy soldiers play? Hoping it’s a real Christmas carol. Thanks.
Rebecca Rinabarger says
Looks like you were in the store at Hollywood Studios…you missed the nutcrackers. Chip and Dale nutcrackers! She had them at the register when I was there last week, about $51 a piece. I noticed that Magic Kingdom had only Chip available in their Christmas store the other day (yes I’m there A LOT).
Cynthia P Laird says
I NEED the little soldiers but we aren’t going until January 30. How do I get a set for this Christmas?
DFB Sarah says
Cynthia, your best bet is to watch ShopDisney.com. Hopefully they’ll be available.
Cathy says
I don’t want to post a name for a personal shopper that I use to help people who want to get Disney items, and won’t be in Disney, without your okay. If it is okay then I will post their Facebook page.

If anyone has an idea how to get some of these things when I can’t get there, I would love to know. I love those ornaments, for starters. And Cathy, you can email me at [email protected] if you know a way! Thanks for a great article, love seeing this stuff with time to plan!

Mckey & Minnie making out? That’s nice; after all the years they’ve been married. You know they are in really life. Just have to keep it quite for the children’s sake. Didn’t anyone else notice when their houses used to be in the magic kingdom that Mickey’s house didn’t have a bedroom?

Any release date planned for the 2018 guide yet? I read the whole 2017 one and don’t want the new one to get lost in emails. The 2017 edition was awesome!!
DFB Sarah says
Joanie, thanks for being a DFB Guide reader! We’ll have the 2018 out as early in 2018 as possible! You’ll see a post on DFB when it’s ready!
