Lots and LOTS of changes are taking place at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! Though the current construction of a tower — which will bring 500 additional guest rooms and rooftop dining to the Resort — will deliver the biggest transformation, there are other subtle and not-so-subtle changes taking place, too.
One of those not-so-subtle changes is the addition of an on-the-water lounge, which guests will be able to visit by way of a series of bridges from various areas of the Resort. And now, this upcoming bar and grill has a name: Villa del Lago!
Villa del Lago will serve “cold drinks and light fare” in what appears will be a uniquely lovely setting. Look for this spot to seat 60 guests, while designated group areas will be able to seat 90 more. It will open alongside the 15-story tower in 2019!
Among those more subtle changes is the recent transformation of what was formerly Rix Lounge into Rix Sports Bar & Grill, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner to guests at Coronado Springs right now! You can read our review of this newly transformed spot here. And you can also check out which of the new items at Rix landed on our Best Snacks for Cheese Lovers list in our DFB YouTube Video!
