“Who’s your friend who likes to play?”
“BING BONG, BING BONG!”
Welcome to Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff Confectionery, which is now open on Disney California Adventure’s new Pixar Pier! Riley’s imaginary best friend from Inside Out, Bing Bong, is serving treats inspired by the candy tears he cries.
It’s time for all kinds of SWEET STUFF for guests on Pixar Promenade!
From Inside to Out (see what I did there 😉 ), the shop is brightly colored, just like Bing Bong himself.
Vivid hues set the colorful scene.
Now, it should be noted that even though Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff is now open, Bing Bong’s isn’t entirely ready just yet. There’s still more to come to this new sweet stop (currently hidden behind the trunk of the as-yet-to-be-revealed Bing Bong).
But there’s plenty to see right now, too! The merchandise area starts from the outside, and greatly expands within.
And we’ll take a little tour of that later. First, we’re going to start at what is actually at the end of the store’s set-up, since it’s what we’ve all been waiting for… the new confectionery items!
Because it’s a confectionery, it’s possible you can guess several of the items you’ll find here. Classic Disney sweets in the bakery case include Caramel Apples, Cake Pops, Mickey Krispy Treats, Marshmallow Wands, and more. But, of course, many of the snacks have been dressed up to match the Pixar-themed occasion!
Though we’ve had a look at some of these items throughout Pixar Fest, several are making their debut here at Bing Bong’s… and the one that fits in the most, of course, is the Bing Bong Candy Apple!
Bing Bong’s gonna run you $13.99… which is pretty steep for an apple! But you at least have to sneak a peek at the spot’s signature snack.
You’ll currently find the Pixar Ball Apple ($12.99), as well.
And — as anticipated — the Inside Out Emotions have their own Cake Pops!
The cake filling each cake pop matches the Emotion’s signature color, and the flavors vary with each Emotion, too!
For sure the favorite was Joy’s Lemon Cake Pop, with its pop of bright, citrus-y flavor.
Hanging high above the confectionery area is a sign showing you the signature drinks of the house… Memory Refreshers!
Jangles the Clown shows you that your frozen drink options include Rainbow Unicorn, Sunshine in a Cup, Imaginary Pal, Slow Burn, and Gloomy Blues.
The Rainbow Unicorn Memory Refresher combines Mellow Yellow, Hi-C Lime, and the following Fanta flavors: Blue Raspberry, Grape, and Cherry. The drink is layered in such a way that it keeps its separated rainbow colors… at least at first!(Maybe this is inspired by the World of Color slush — an off the menu creation that many in-the-know Disney snackers have loved on both coasts for the past year or two!)
It’s topped with lots of Rainbow Nerds candy.
The taste is as colorful and candy-licious it looks. But be warned… it is very, VERY sweeeeeeet!
The Slow Burn takes Fanta Cherry and Mellow Yellow… and adds a pump of Habanero Lime Syrup!
It’s topped with Mango Popping Pearls.
I enjoyed the flavor and therefore the drink, but honestly didn’t pick up on much of the habanero heat at all.
Other featured flavor combos in the drinks include Fanta Cherry and Minute Maid Lemonade for the Incredi-Glacier.
Fanta Blue Raspberry with Blueberry Popping Pearls make up the Gloomy Blues.
Sunshine in a Cup features Fanta Blue Raspberry and Mellow Yellow topped with yogurt Popping Pearls.
And Hi-C Pink Lemonade and Fanta Grape make up the Imaginary Pal… which is topped with cotton candy and a marshmallow flower!
We’ve also got the scoop on two Memory Refreshers NOT LISTED on the menu! The Anxiously Delicious is Fanta Blue Raspberry and Grape.
And the I Can’t Even combines Hi-C Lime and Fanta Grape!
Moving throughout the rest of the shop, you’ll encounter plenty of pre-packaged candy goods.
Don’t miss the Bing Bong’s Unicorn Bark!
These include the classic items from the Goofy’s Candy Company line and nostalgic sweets like Lollipops, Cotton Candy, and more.
But you’ll also find the new Pixar treats among them!
You may recall these from our first trip to Tinseltown Trinket in Hollywood Studios and from Knick’s Knacks at Pixar Pier, but as a refresher, the Emotions from Inside Out are featured on bagged candy such as Lemon Drops, Cinnamon Candy, and Sour Rainbow Belts.
Other Pixar films are represented as well, from The Incredibles to Toy Story and, as Buzz Lightyear says…
… BEYOND!
The new pre-packaged Inside Out Flavored Popcorn is at Bing Bong’s, too.
Confetti Popcorn features Joy, Blue Raspberry features Sadness, Red Hot Candy features Anger, and Fruit Punch features Fear.
Unique to Bing Bong’s, though, is a huge variety of Saltwater Taffy, with flavors like Sour Apple, Neapolitan, Strawberry Banana, Watermelon, Raspberry, Orange, and Peaches and Cream.
As mentioned earlier, there’s PLENTY of Pixar-themed merchandise throughout (in fact, there’s even more merch than food at Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff)!
But remember… there’s more to come at Bing Bong’s Sweet Shop, so we’ll be back again soon!

For the memory refresher flavours that are not of the menu, will they still be able to be purchased because I would love to try the anxiously delicious and the gloomy blues memory (which is on the menu)
Gina says
I am going to Disneyland and would love to know if I would be able to order the drink tat are not on the menu

Gina, as long as the flavors are on tap, you can request the off-menu items, too. Have fun!
