We were invited to take a sneak peek at the newest restaurant coming to Disney Springs… and that’s Chicken Guy!
In fact, Chicken Guy! is both the name of the restaurant and also a nod to one of the two people behind this new venture: celebrity chef Guy Fieri, who has partnered once again with restauranteur Robert Earl.
The two previously worked together when Guy Fieri created the Burger and Sandwich menu for Planet Hollywood Observatory. And, in fact, you’ll find Chicken Guy! tucked right in at Planet Hollywood.
Though no official opening date has been announced, Disney Springs guests will see this new fast-casual spot open sometime this month.
We were lucky enough to attend a sneak peek — and even sample some of the upcoming menu — at Chicken Guy! Let’s see what the Mayor of Flavortown himself and Robert Earl are busy preparing for the Town Center of Disney Springs!
Atmosphere
The Disney Springs location is set to be the flagship location for this new venture.
Bright and vivid hues set a tone to match the high energy of the spot’s namesake.
The fast-casual service style will allow guests to place their order on the line.
And fresh ingredients will be at the ready!
Guests will be notified by buzzer when their order is ready.
Then it’s off to take your pick of indoor or outdoor seating.
Of course, if you’d rather take your order to-go, everyone will see that your meal was created by The Boss of Sauce!
Let’s see what will be on offer!
Eats
Robert Earl walked us through the menu today, which focuses on serving Chicken Tenders (and more) in a fast-casual setting.
Guests will be able to choose between Grilled and Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders.
The chicken here will be hand-pounded and the fried tenders will be freshly breaded each day.
And I have to say… I loved the super crispy outside of these fried tenders!
And the option of the healthier-for-you grilled tender is something I’ve been hoping for at Disney World for years.
But there’s more to it. Because you’ll be able to choose two Signature Sauces for your Chicken Tenders… out of 22 Sauce Selections!
To help you narrow it down a bit, the sauces are divided into categories, including Guy’ Favorites like Curry Mayo and Chipotle Ranch.
The Classics feature Buffalo and Sweet and Sour among many others.
And Hot ‘N’ Spicy includes Habanero Hot Sauce and Nashville Hot Honey.
Signature Sandwiches will be made with two chicken tenders.
The Sauce Boss is anticipated to be a popular item due to the chance for customization with any two signature sauces.
And after tasting it, I have to agree. For me, it was a standout.
The Bourbon Brown Sugar BBQ Sandwich delivers a little sweetness to all that savory.
Salad Bowls are also served with your choice of grilled or fried tenders.
The Southwest Street Corn Salad Bowl serves it up with charred corn, slaw, roasted peppers, black beans, tomatoes, red onions, grilled scallions and crispy tortilla strips.
But those salads get their sauce on, too, with cumin lime mojo and chipotle ranch for the Southwest Street Corn Salad.
Tasty Sides to go along with whichever chicken you choose will include Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese and Fried Pickle Chips.
The Fried Pickles were another favorite of mine. They had a nice little kick to them!
Loaded Fries are smothered in SMC (Super Melty Cheese!) and also topped with chopped grilled chicken, green onions, and oodles of BACON.
Any place that promotes Super Melty Cheese is pretty much right up my alley.
Chicken Guy Fries with signature seasoning will also be available.
The Kids’ Menu offers two tenders, grilled cheese, and Mac Daddy Mac ‘N’ Cheese.
Flavortown Frozen Treats are… well, just take a look!
Your options will be Triple Double Mint and Cinnamon Apple.
Triple Double Mint blends mint chocolate soft serve with crushed Oreos, chocolate mints, chocolate syrup, and tops it all with whipped cream.
Cinnamon Apple is vanilla soft-serve with Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Apple Jacks cereals, also with whipped cream!
Something Robert Earl shared is that the emphasis is on quality and price. The menu and prices were designed to make it difficult for the average guest to spend more than $12-13 without sacrificing quality. And I really do think the portions and great flavors are a good value at these price points.
It is still being determined whether Chicken Guy! will accept the Disney Dining Plan. (This is not unusual for non-Disney owned restaurants in the beginning as they work out contracts for new spots, and we’ll let you know here when that is determined.)
Overall
It was a lot of fun to check out Chicken Guy! before it opens. It was even better to taste the upcoming offerings, which give us reason to think that Disney Springs guests have a lot to look forward to when Chicken Guy! officially opens its doors sometime this month. Are you looking forward to this new addition? We’d love to hear what you think!

I can’t believe it…but this may be the one restaurant that actually would get me to DS. Love fried pickles, the fries even look good and some of the sauces sound amazing.
Eileen says
Ok, so 22 sauces. Ok, freshly pounded. But how was the chicken? In the pictures, the chicken in the sandwiches looked a bit dry. Are you eating sawdust chicken that needs the sauces to be edible? Or is the chicken juicy and flavorful on its own? The thinner the chicken is pounded, the quicker it cooks to dryness and to get that level of crisp, the chicken may be over cooked.
Tyler Hilliard says
It’s a bummer they don’t have vegan “chicken” – there are tons of great options out there that taste awesome.
Dean says
I couldn’t see anything on the menu (unless I missed it)…
Is there an option to purchase additional sauces??
I can see quite a few I’d like to try so even if we bought a couple of meals that included them I’d probably still want to buy some more.
Michelle says
This honestly looks better than I expected, and at these prices, our family will try it at least once on our next visit.
DFB Sarah says
Dean, we didn’t catch the price, but you can request more sauces. In fact, it sounds like a fun addition to the meal!
DFB Sarah says
Eileen, the chicken was juicy inside, crispy outside!
Beth says
Any word on an allergy menu- specifically gluten-free?
Kenya says
Any word on if the meal plan will be accepted?
REne says
Do they have gluten free option
DFB Sarah says
Rene, we would expect the grilled chicken to be gluten free, but you’ll want to check with the restaurant directly (particularly about possible cross-contamination).
DFB Sarah says
Kenya: Still to be determined! Sometimes with the non-Disney eateries it takes a bit of time to work out contracts for the DDP. We will update the post when it’s decided.
DFB Sarah says
Beth, no word yet.
Bret says
to purchase additional sauces it is suppose to be 50 cents each. I will try the loaded fries they look real good.
Joey says
We stopped by one I think the first or second day open. Here’s my review: buy your fried tenders elsewhere and just get the sauces. The fried tenders were pounded flat and overcoated with the breading used. The grilled tenders are probably much better. Potential is there, but so far I’d rather have Zaxbys or truly have Pollo Campero back.
Sandra says
What oil do they fry in? My husband and I clean eat, so we don’t partake of restaurants that don’t fry with healthy oils.
Lexii says
Do you know what kind of oil they fry in by chance?
DFB Sarah says
Lexii, they didn’t say. Sorry!

Hi AJ. Really enjoy your videos and reviews, including this one for Chicken Guy. One minor pet peeve… on this and at least one other video, you say Guy’s name as Guy FieTi, with a T, not Guy Fieri, with an R. The text in the review has it right, but not when you’re saying his name. Great reviews, and interesting and informative blog. Keep up the great work.

Was there this past Sunday. Was excited to try it out, but my experience was anything but great. To top it off, the manager was very rude to us when we tried to figure out why our order wasn’t what we expected. The food was ok. Chicken was tender, but as a result, the breading was soggy, not crispy. After our experience, we don’t feel very welcome in “Flavortown”

We came to this restaurant during our last week’s visit to WDW just because we were very tired of one full day of walking at Epcot and it was the first restaurant that we saw. My wife and me tried the Southwestern sandwich and my kids tried the chicken strips and the Mac Daddy Mc’ cheese. We enjoyed the taste and the cost was more than acceptable. We had to come back the next day.
Definitely, Chicken Guy will be a must be everytime we go to Disney Springs
Nonstop hilarity says
It cracks me up to see vegans review restaurants that are clearly not cut out to cater to the vegan crowd. It’s called “Chicken Guy”. If you wanted vegan chicken, google “Vegan Chicken Guy”. Lmao.
