We like to play mini-golf at Winter Summerland.

Great ideas, AJ. On my first day, I always get a very early flight and get there by late morning. Usually I’d go to the Marketplace to get custom ordered candy from Goofy’s for later in the week, then have lunch at EoS. Then I’d go back to unpack, swim, change and head to the MK or Epcot for the evening. I’m always too excited not to go one of them on the first day! Very enjoyable video.

I agree Essie, we go to Disney to do Disney! Earliest flight out, we were 1st flight to land at MCO we were told after Hurricane Irma last fall, and really enjoyed literally no one at Frozen Ever After Ride, no one! Thought it was closed lol. My wife loves going to MK on our 1 st day although it doesn’t have to be straight there as long as we hit it sometime on arrival day its official, lol. I let park hrs dictate and food desires lol. We like to switch things up each visit, add something entirely new like a resort restaurant off the beaten path, or enjoy a small plate/drink location at our resort or a new park location we’ve never tried. There are certain staples we hit every time but, this upcoming trip in Oct, we are going with 0 reservations for meals. Gonna hit the lounges in parks and resorts and DS, to complement our daily Epcot F&W lunches. Variety and spontaneity is key!

We always do Hoop De Doo on our arrival day. It gets us ready for the parks the next day and we don’t feel like we are wasting park time going out to Fort Wilderness!

Looking for tips on the best way to resort hop. We are checking in next Saturday at Boardwalk, but want to check out some eats at Port Orleans, All Star and Animal Kingdom Lodge. Thanks
DFB Sarah says
Dennis, if money is no object, the most efficient and direct way to resort hop is to use a Minnie Van or to call a ride share or taxi. If you’re looking to use WDW transportation, the only way to do it is to take buses from BoardWalk to a park (or walk to DHS (likely fastest) or Epcot), then from the park bus stop to the resort you want to visit. For Port Orleans, you could also go to Disney Springs and take the Sassagoula River Taxi to the resort (which is a rather relaxing journey, in my experience!). Hope this helps! Have a great time!
