Disney World’s Caribbean Beach Resort has been undergoing major refurbishments over the past year (plus a few months). And the Moderate Resort’s dining areas have been greatly impacted during the renovations. So we are especially excited to share new information regarding Caribbean Beach Resort dining options, starting with the announcement of Sebastian’s Bistro!
Yes! Sebastian’s Bistro will be an all-new dining location, taking the place of the Table Service restaurant that was formerly Shutters.
Sebastian from The Little Mermaid is a fitting inspiration, given the Caribbean feel and flavors that will be showcased in the waterfront restaurant.
The vibe at the casual Table Service eatery will be made to resemble a “tropical beachfront home,” with coral patterns, kelp filigree, and nautical art and designs. (Think about “life Under the Sea,” as Sebastian would say!) Latin flavors will also be featured, blended with the Caribbean cuisine.
Work continues as well on Centertown Market, and new artwork has been revealed showcasing the updated indoor street market atmosphere.
Counter Service eats will once again be served in a colorful space decorated with unique features such as lights formed from glass bottles, wooden light posts, and awnings. Though the space will also offer Grab n’ Go options, seating areas will still be available for those wishing to relax and “dine on island time.”
And, remember, we’re looking forward to the reopening of a favorite watering hole, as the Banana Cabana Pool Bar is currently receiving a makeover, too!
Though Disney previously shared that a late summer opening was anticipated for the new spaces, an official opening date has yet to be announced. We look forward to sharing new details as they are revealed!

I am so excited about Sebastian getting his own restaurant! Any idea when reservations will be available? We are staying at CBR in late November 2018. My daughter would love to try it out!

Doreen, we would expect Sebastian’s to be part of DDP. We’ll update as we get information!

Can’t say that i’m impressed by the look of the new centretown market. Disney seem to be going for a uniform bland and boring look at this resort and sucking any type of theme/charm out of it!
