Animal Kingdom’s Pandora — The World of AVATAR is known for a few of its more unique eats almost as much as it’s well known for the land’s headliner attractions and remarkable atmosphere.
For instance, the Night Blossom at Pongu Pongu — Pandora’s beverage and snack stop — has been a huge hit. So much so, that this drink has also received a spiked makeover with a recently added Rum Blossom version.
The drinks have been such a huge hit that perhaps they’ve overshadowed what was supposed to be Pongu Pongu’s signature snack: the Pongu Lumpia. Because on our visit to Pongu Pongu today, we realized that the Pongu Lumpia is no longer listed on the menu.
These eggroll-style snacks presented pineapple and cream cheese together in a wonton wrapper. And from the get-go, reviews were quite mixed. The Pongu Lumpia gained a reputation as a love-it-or-hate-it snack, with few opinions in between. Even our DFB team was quite divided on the treat.
Still, those who love it tend to REALLY love it, so we imagine this will come as a sad surprise to some stopping at Pongu Pongu.
We should note that we checked with a Cast Member and as of the day of this publishing (August 23), they do still have a few Lumpia on hand for a few more orders, but once they’re gone, that’s it. The Cast Member we spoke with shared that they did not believe this to be a temporary change, but did not know with absolute certainty. But if it does come back, we certainly don’t expect to see it anytime soon.
So, obviously there are some food changes going on in Pandora, including the recent removal of the Vegetable Curry Pods at Satu’li Canteen. So far, though, neither of these items has any specific replacements, as the Colossal Pretzel that is currently on the menu has been available at Pongu Pongu for some time now. As always, we’ll keep an eye out for what’s new and next, and will keep you posted right here!

Awwwww man, that was on my To Eat list in November! Back to the drawing board. 🙁

Very sad. However, I was only able to seriously love them during the cooler months, they were just to warm in the heat. RIP Fam.

Bummer! That was such a tasty and unique snack, fitting of Pandora. I hope they introduce some new, exotic snack options.
Matthew says
I really hope they bring back the veggie curry pods! It was my favorite meal. This odd trend with vegetarian options has to be reversed. Things were in such a great place for a while but losing the veggie pods and all the recent menu changes at DCA Disney Parks have become a lot less veg friendly.

Taking a quick trip in October, and decided to skip AK because we couldn’t get a fast pass for Flight of Passage. This news solidifies our choice – I was actually thinking of going all the way to AK just for some lumpia.

That really stinks!!!! I LOVE those!! Ugh. It’s annoying when they get rid of something soooo good.
John says
It has been removed from the lunch/dinner menu , but is still listed on the breakfast menu.

Noooo!!! That was one of my most favorite snacks!! Omg, I’m super sad. I always had one there & one to go. I actually crave it when I go home. *sigh*

I read on another site that it is available but not listed on the menu. I hope it’s not gone I’ve been wanting to try it.

I really, REALLY hope that the Pongu Lumpia will be back. It is my favorite treat in Animal Kingdom ? WDW has homogenized too many of its kiosk offerings… this one really stood out and was amazingly delicious!!!
Janelle says
I was there last week and they had it on the menu. It was delicious
