Lights, Camera, Action…it’s time to see what’s new in Hollywood Studios!
What’s New on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood Studios
We started our day out at Trolley Car Cafe (Starbucks) and found they are still offering the Incredibles 2 Red Velvet and Toy Story Land Grand Opening Cupcakes as their seasonal selections. We expect to see these change out to more Halloween/fall themed options soon. You’ll also find these two options at some Sunset Ranch Market locations as well.
The Popcorn Stands in the Hollywood Boulevard area are now carrying the Darth Vader Steins in addition to the Ice Cold Coca Cola Stand at the entrance of the park. The stein is $12.99 and is served with a fountain beverage.
If you are looking for a Sangria stop by the Pop Up Bars in the Hollywood Boulevard area to quench your thirst with your pick of a Red or White Sangria . The White Sangria is accented with Limoncello and the Red with Creme de Cassis. Each Sangria is $11.50.
On to the merchandise – this shirt is the story of my life:
And this shirt could describe just about any day!
As flip flop season draws to a close it’s time to stock up on socks. Cruella is too evil on these!
The Princess Lollipops have had a bit of a makeover – check these out. Belle is absorbed by that book she is reading.
What’s New on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood Studios
Anaheim Produce
has replaced the Mango Colada with a Sunset Strawberry Daiquiri. You can also pick up the Frozen Golden Margarita here as well.
Catalina Eddies and Rosie’s All American Cafe are offering the Toy Story Land Opening Cupcake and the Incredibles 2 Cupcake. Again, we expect to see these change out to more Halloween/fall themed options soon.
If you, or your kiddo, are looking to have your face painted for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party you’re in luck! The face painting station is now offering Halloween themed designs. You can find this location near the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Which one are you picking?
What’s New in Hollywood Studios Toy Story Land
Pixar Place has been closed
since the opening of Toy Story Land. There are now some more construction walls than when it closed initially and we can see something happening between the two buildings. Fans of Joffrey’s Coffee don’t despair – the Joffrey’s Coffee Stand is still open!
As we entered Toy Story Land we could see that they are now offering “pre-assembled” popcorn buckets with the “hidden food” design we love so much in addition to water at the entrance to this new area.
The handout menus for Woody’s Lunch Box have been updated to reflect the Monte Cristo is no longer available.
Check out the super-cute Grown-Up Lemonade tap handle at Woody’s!
What’s New on Commissary Lane in Hollywood Studios
Over at the ABC Commissary you can enjoy a new Watermelon Margarita – and a Toy Story Land Cupcake! That cupcake keeps popping up!
The Barbecue Ribs Platter at the ABC Commissary is no longer served with chicken.
What’s New on Grand Avenue in Hollywood Studios
There is a new Pop Up Bar near the Muppet * Vision 3D theater. This location is serving the Toy Story themed cocktails that used to be at the now-closed Pop Up Bar in Pixar Place.
The Christmas Store is offering a lot of Jack Skellington and crew ornaments. Is it too early to put up our Christmas tree?
I don’t know about you, but these shatterproof Many Faces of Jack Skellington ornaments are needed in my house.
If your loyalties lie more towards Madame Leota and the Hitchhiking Ghosts check out these ornaments:
These Mater ornaments are great for your Halloween decorations – and they are the perfect replication of Mater’s Halloween costume in Disneyland!
The Stage 1 Company Store has a Jack Skellington Cookie Canister for hiding your Christmas Cookies or Halloween Treats.
And, we found that Oogie Boogie Krispie Treat with a Hidden Surprise. The kiddos are sure to love this one!
What’s New on Echo Lake in Hollywood Studios
The 50’s Prime Time Cafe has a new kids’ menu activity sheet featuring Fancy Nancy, Vampirina, and the Muppet Babies. Find out where your kiddos will also be able to meet Vampirina in Hollywood Studios this fall!
What’s New in Hollywood Studios Skyliner Construction and Parking
We’ll close this out with some updates on the construction for the new Skyliner System. The original area for the buses and trams is now closed. There is a new location for both of these drop offs.
There is a slightly longer walk from the new drop off locations as you walk along the construction of the Skyliner Station. Note that the walk between Hollywood Studios and the Boardwalk is significantly longer as you have to walk around the construction as well.
With all the exploring done – it’s time to hop in my stretch limo and ride away!

Dave says
Wow, with all the pop up and total bars/restaurants serving drinks, it looks like HS is the alcohol capital park of Disney. Not that I am complaining as anything in moderation is fine and with all the amazing choices from frozen drinks to Baseline tap house to flights at Brown Derby there are amazing concoctions to be had in HS!
Essie says
Love these up to date blogs of the parks. T.Y.
Beth says
With the longer walk from the tram drop offs, is it even worth it to take the tram if you are driving to the park?
Kylie says
How is the walkway from the Boardwalk to DHS “significantly longer” if the walk from the buses to the entrance is only “slightly longer”?
Staying at the Boardwalk in two weeks and was planning on walking for AM EMH, but don’t want a ridiculous walk…
Mindy says
The bus drop is significantly further from the entrance. This should be better communicated. It is a considerable walk and there is no shade and not place to stop and rest if needed. Some elderly persons or those with mobility issues may have problems
Arlene says
Do we really need all of these bars and alcoholic drinks in “Disney World” of all places? I don’t know what Disney is thinking – but I see no reason for all of this alcohol in the parks. Sure, it may be nice to be able to have an alcoholic beverage with dinner sometimes, or to stop in a lounge and perhaps have a drink ionce in a while. But why we need all these carts serving alcohol all day long is long is beyond me? Do we really need to get an acholic beverage In the morning or in the middle of the day? While we are all adults and can obviously do what we want, is it really necessary to have all of these carts in the parks serving alcohol all day long? Do we really need to go from one ride or one attraction to another with an alcoholic beverage in our hands? Also, In the hot weather, alcohol can be very dehydrating and we all know Florida is very hot for most of the year. I see this as a big potential problem for Disney and for gas who perhaps may not be able to handle their alcohol consumption. I don’t know just what message Disney is trying to send out by making so much alcohol available in the parks and resorts all of a sudden, but I don’t think it’s a good one.
Arlene says
Hi – correction to my comment. It should say:
” I see this as a big potential problem for Disney and for”guest”
( not “gas”) Sorry!
: )
Franco says
I agree 100%with Arlene. The amount of alcohol available at every turn is a bit much for what is and was intended to be a place for families to spend time together. I’ve lost count of the number of parents holding a beer in one hand and infant in the other that I have seen while in the parks. Not sure why alcohol seems to be a main focus other than big profit margins but most of us don’t go to a Disney to have to worry about stumbling adults who drank too much. If I wanted to do that I’d save money and go to a local bar.
Kristina says
Apparently Arlene and Franco have no problems with thousands of screaming children. Parents are on vacation too and so what if they want an adult beverage? Its not like they are giving it to thier kids. Disney is trying to cater to adults too not just children.(I’m in my 30s so don’t think this coming from some 21 year old)
On another note, ABC commissary was absolutely terrible. The service, the food, I will never go back there and I suggest people go else where and not waste your money or dining plan credits here.
