We’re at Raglan Road in Disney Springs for the Great Irish Hooley!
Are you thinking to yourself, “What’s a Hooley?” Well, let me tell ya! It’s a traditional Irish social celebration combining music ranging from traditional to rock tunes with entertainment and fun for the whole family, and this year marks the 7th Annual Great Irish Hooley at Raglan Road!
And there are TWO things you need to know. First, the Hooley is on NOW through September 3rd (ALL Labor Day Weekend). Second, there is NO cover charge!
This Irish music festival is serving up a colorful live playlist of traditional Irish, Celt grass, folk, blues and soul into the wee hours each night. Plus, the Raglan Road ‘Great Irish Hooley’ even features Celtic face-painting for the kids and the opportunity to learn some traditional Irish dance steps throughout the festival– no experience necessary!

But what’s a Hooley without some grub and a little something to sip? Don’t worry… Raglan Road has got you covered. And even if you don’t happen to be in Disney World over Labor Day Weekend, Raglan Road gave us a chance to sample some new menu items during the Hooley that will be on the menu beyond Labor Day!
Eats
YES! The items you see here are being introduced to the regular Raglan Road menus. Raglan Road serves brunch, lunch, and dinner, as well as a pretty huge array of appetizers, so there’s lots to explore on the menu no matter when you visit.
Ready to begin? Then, Sláinte! Because we’re starting with a couple of new cocktails, including The Botanic Garden. Jameson Black, sugar, orange bitters, water, orange twist, and “Wild About” nettle syrup are garnished with thyme.
It’s Raglan Road’s earthy-toned take on an old-fashioned.
Wild About syrup is also featured in the next cocktail, the Leitrim Lemon Fellow. This lovely looking sip combines Gunpowder Irish Gin, Wild About cinnamon, egg white, and lemon juice.
The egg white — as you can tell! — delivers a terrific froth and the drink is just really well put together, including the fun spice from the cinnamon.
Fancy a pint? Raglan Road is highlighting local beers such as Tri Wishes Grand Irish Red from Crooked Can (Winter Garden, FL).
I found the Tri Wishes to be very smooth. Light, but full flavored.
The Chick N Pea Skewer is a spicy surprise!
The spiced marinated rosemary skewered chicken is accompanied by a Julienne salad, toasted chickpeas, and a surprisingly flavorful, delicious chickpea cream.
Chunky Monk (a new starter) is beer battered monk fish with zucchini chips, served with a chunky tartar sauce.
Fun for a bite if you’re not going full-on Fish and Chips but still crave a bit of the dish while in the Pub!
Pork Blah Blaa (yes, Raglan Road has the most fun-reading menu in Disney World), takes shaved porchetta and tops it with a Wild About Celtic chutney, caramelized onions, and crispy crackling… all served on a blah bun for the Lunch Sandwich menu.
It will be served with skinny chips. My favorite part of the thick pork sandwich was the enhancement with the caramelized onions.
The Lusty Lobster serves up huge, tasty chunks of lobster and places it on a multigrain roll with avocado, egg, mayonnaise, pancetta, and watercress.
A hint of sweetness mixed with the avocado made this an even more memorable dish than it already was with the delicious lobster.
Wild About Wild incorporates the Wild About nettle syrup into a buttermilk dressing that tops the wild mushroom and herb goat cheese terrine with pickled, candied, and purple beets. Roasted quinoa crumbles finish the plate.
You have to dig in to truly appreciate the beauty of this dish.
Just try to get a certain song out of your head after ordering up the Super-Cauli-Caponata-Tasty-N-Delicious!
Though the cauliflower paired with the eggplant caponata is spiced, it’s not overly spicy. And the pumpkin seeds in the lentil dressing give the dish a nice texture.
The Bangin’ Bangers & Mighty Mash are Guinness and onion sausages served with mashed potatoes and a traditional onion gravy.
The dish really highlights the notes of Guinness, and has an overall sweetness to complement all that savory goodness.
The well-seasoned braised lamb that makes up the StewBaa is dished up with root vegetables in a white stew together with herb dumplings and a mint coulis.
The broth is really unique — sweet, and almost tangy.
Finally, if you’re one of those who is currently calling it “Go Time” for the All Things Pumpkin season, you’ll definitely want to check out the Pumpkin Creme Brûlée Tart!
We hope you can make it to the Hooley this weekend to enjoy the incredible extra entertainment lineup, because Raglan Road is definitely where the party’s at in Disney Springs this weekend! But if not, remember… no matter what time of year it is, it’s pretty much always a good and tasty time at Raglan Road!
