There is nothing more British than a cuppa tea. And now you can have a cuppa at Epcot’s local pub – Rose and Crown! But this isn’t your regular tea – it’s an “experience”!
Click here for a guest review of this experience!
The Rose and Crown has launched a new “Tea Experience” where you’ll not only sip tea, but you’ll munch on scones and sandwiches while learning about tea from a Twinings-trained Cast Member.
Attendees of the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival may think this sounds similar to the special seminars presented in the UK Pavilion during that Festival. We think so too! Looks like this is going to become a permanent event at the Rose and Crown.
During your tea you’ll learn about the different blends of tea and the secret to making the perfect cup of tea from the Twinings-trained Cast Member. You’ll also learn about the history of the Twinings brand and its wide range of flavors.
The Tea Experience takes place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 9:45 am. It is $30 per person, which includes your tea tasting, sandwiches, and scones.
For reservations, book online, visit Guest Relations, or call (407) WDW-DINE or book online at waltdisneyworld.com. Disney dining plans are not accepted for this dining event.

This is so cool!! I’ve never made it to the Wine & Food Festival (so sad I know) but I would LOVE a “tea experience!” Definitely on my list of things to do on my partially-solo upcoming trip
Rachel @ Never Enough Novels says
This sounds wonderful! Hopefully you guys will add it to your list of “experiences” to review. I’d love to hear what you think. I’ll take notes for my next visit : )
Luana says
Much cheaper than the tea at Grand Floridian, which is amazing! Anxious to try this one and compare the two!
Robert says
Booked this for the last day of our December trip!
Bev says
I would do this, and the price seems reasonable.
Claire says
Weekends only? Boooooo
Sarah says
Is this exclusive to the food and wine festival or is it year round?

Gasped with excitement at the headline but if it’s the same scones they served at flower and garden, I’ll be super disappointed. They were dense and hard and seemed to have been baked with an egg wash, which isn’t super traditional. We loved the educational tea tour but the scones left a lot to be desired (credentials: afternoon tea aficionado who’s done it in London).

What would make it really special, is if they arranged to use loose leaf teas, Twinings teabags are fine but they honestly don’t compare to freshly brewed loose leaf.
Still, it’s a step in the right direction, especially with the addition of sandwiches and scones (crusts cut off the sammies, of course) ^_~
Now we just need to fix the dessert option at the QS chip shop and get some proper baked goods in there, that poor excuse for aVictoria Sandwich hurts my soul every time I walk past! =S

Thanks for this! Just booked me and my husband for December 15. FYI, it’s pre-pay but you can cancel for a refund if you do so at least one day in advance. I’m so excited about this now!!!
DFB Sarah says
Shelley, thanks for sharing! Have a tea-rrific time. 😉
DFB Sarah says
Rune — Haha! We would love to see proper baked goods… In truth, we love all baked goods, but a classic Victoria Sandwich sounds delightful!
DFB Sarah says
Hi, Sarah! It used to be more a Festival experience, but now it’s found a long-term home!
Lori says
I booked this for my Feb. 2019 trip. Really excited to try it as I love tea!
Maggie says
Was just there about a month ago and I still really love the fish n’ chips! I think they do a nice job with that. The pub is generally SPECTACULARLY crowded… like, always. Kinda wish they’d expand a little to give us a little more breathing room.
Rose says
Will you be reviewing this experience? Booked it for later this month but not sure if it’s worth it!
Rochelle says
My adult daughterrs and I did the tea this past Sunday. Liza was our tea guide. She was funny and informative. The tea and eats were great!
DFB Sarah says
Rochelle, thanks for sharing!
Sharon says
Hi i would like to know do you tip at this tea experience?
DFB Sarah says
Sharon, it sounds like there’s not a server, more that things are set up prior to arrival, so tipping is likely not required. If we hear something more definite, I’ll let you know!
