Get ready to meet Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and The Queen at Artist Point in Wilderness Lodge at Storybook Dining with Snow White!
This new dining experience will make its debut on December 16, 2018, and Advance Dining Reservations are now open!
Guests will “enter an enchanted forest” at the reimagined restaurant, and it seems a photo opportunity will be available with The Queen herself. Snow White, Grumpy, and Dopey will visit tables in a similar fashion to other Character Meals.
As for the meal, individually plated entrees will be surrounded by shared starters and desserts. Shared Appetizers will include Hunter’s Pie with chicken, black truffle, and stone fruit preserve, Winter Squash Bisque with caramel loli and granola served in a black cauldron and Wicked Shrimp Cocktail with soy, miso, avocado, thai chili, and greens.
From the Garden selections include an array of fruits, vegetables, cheese, and create-your-own honey butter.
Entree options will feature Royal Prime Rib Roast with horseradish mashed potato, hay-smoked carrots, popover, and jus, Brother’s Grimm Roasted Chicken, and Magic Mirror Slow Braised Veal Shank with mashed celery root, wilted winter greens, and jus.
Seafood Stew with shrimp, bay scallops, mussels, tomato, and fennel, and Bashful’s Butter Poached Snapper are further options. And “A Stroll Through Nature” will present a vegetarian option featuring butternut squash, arugula and gnocchi.
Kids will feast on Grumpy’s Grub! This will include the same appetizers and desserts (learn more about those below!) as the table with their choice of a Kids entree: Royal Prime Rib Roast or Grilled Chicken served with roasted potatoes and broccolini, Princess Pasta (with red or cheese sauce) or Vegetarian Steam Bun (with crip shiitake, hoisin, pickles, and cilantro).
Shared Desserts will feature a “Poison” Apple (white chocolate apple mousse with a sour center), The Miner’s Treasure (sponge cake with chocolate gems and buttercream icing), Fairy Tale Gooseberry Pie with meringue, and The Hunter’s Gift to the Queen (cracked maple popcorn with a ganache heart.)
Because desserts are shared, guests won’t have to choose!
An array of specialty drinks will also be available to choose from with both cocktails and mocktail options. Cocktails for adults will include the Enchanted Apple with citrus vodka, sour apple, and white cranberry juice and The Smoking Mirror with scotch, wildberry, lime, and rosemary smoke!
Evil to the Core with silver tequila, habanero, blackberry and orange juice will also be an option, along with a variety of beers and highly-rated wines from Oregon and Washington State.
Mocktail (non-alcoholic) choices will include Transformation Potion with sparkling lemonade and the Stone Fruit and Berry Breeze with herbal tea infusion.
It also appears on the Disney World website that One Disney Dining Plan Table Service will be redeemed per Guest for the Disney Dining Plan when dining at Storybook Dining with Snow White at Artist Point. A call to (407) WDW-DINE revealed that the out of pocket price is $58.58 for adults, and $35.15 for children ages 3-9 (tax included, but not gratuity). The price includes the guest’s choice of fountain beverage while alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty beverages will be an additional cost.
The Pacific Northwest Cuisine that Artist Point has been known for will be available through November 10, 2018.

Claire says
Sigh, I love me some Evil Queen (she is my spirit animal) but I really loved the food at Artist Point. We have a reservation for November 10, the last night, so we can say goodbye to the wonderful atmosphere and beautiful bison.
Linzi says
The summary on the Disney website says that it is only one table service credit but when you click on the dining plan guide by where you can see the menu, it says two credits!
Anthony says
I really enjoyed Artist’s Point, so I’m sad to see this change. I hope things work out, however, since Artist Point was never really popular.
Robyn says
I LOVE that Snow White has a character meal but HATE the menu change, ☹️
Kimberly Spuck says
OH RATS!!!! I was keeping my eye on this and will miss it by 6 days. We head home on 12/10. 🙁
Megann says
It has been quite awhile since we’ve done a character meal. Is that kind of expensive?
Andrea says
With all the shared dishes it doesn’t really cater to solo diners.
Emily says
Honestly mixed feelings on this one. The character experience sounds great and the menu is good, but I LOVED Artist Point and felt like it was a hidden gem at WDW. I have had several special dates there with my husband and was looking forward to going back.
Sara says
SO disappointed in this change!! Artist Point was one of my favorite restaurants!
Donna says
I am not just sad, but intensely disappointed that Artist Point will be changing to this extent. They need to find a way to keep the current type of menu. This restaurant has been an annual favorite–often for my birthday. Smokey Portobello Mushroom Soup… bison, great pacific northwest gourmet cuisine and game dishes…boohoo.
DFB Sarah says
Megann, it’s pretty much on par with other character meals.
DFB Sarah says
Linzi, we expect the two credits is for the Signature dining that’s available through November 10. But we’ll keep an eye on this to see if anything changes!
Ed says
Thanks for the update. This experience sounds like something my wife and i would enjoy..
John says
I just made a reservation and when I checked the dining plan information it is listed as 1 credit.
Luana says
So excited! DH and I are Taking our Granddaughter and her parents for her fourth birthday in January and managed to score a reservation! Need to find a Snow White dress! With all the other dining reservations also need to find a Belle, Cinderella and Alice or Mary Poppins dress!
Julia says
I’m so upset they changed the menu so much from the original Artist Point. I agree with so many that this was a hidden gem and had such a unique menu that highlighted the Pacific Northwest in a beautiful way.
SynA says
Will Tables in Wonderland discount still be applicable for this character dinner?
Jeanine says
While the new theme and menu look interesting compared to other character meals, this is still a considerable downgrade in terms of options for Wilderness Lodge. I sincerely hope this is not what is in store for the other Signature Restaurants. Every trip, we dine every evening at Signatures and enjoy mixing our Disney parks experience with high quality dining at the resorts. If Disney continues to move in this direction of characters at every meal in lieu of actual quality dining, we will be forced off site for dinner or will be looking for new vacation options elsewhere.
Jim says
While I truly understand the entire concept of updating, refreshing, etc., it is exceedingly disappointing to learn of the demise of what I (and many family and friends ) have for many years felt to be one of the best Signature Dining destinations on property. We’ve enjoyed many memorable dining experiences there.
RIP Artist Point, you WILL be sorely missed.
GrumpyDad says
The one important thing I need to find out – will Grumpy actually be signing as he walks around to tables, or just giving out a signature card!?!!!
DFB Sarah says
GrumpyDad — Not sure! We’ll let you know our experiences when we check out the Storybook Dining!
DFB Sarah says
SynA: We haven’t heard that the status has changed, but that does happen from time to time. We’ll look into it!
DFB Sarah says
Luana, that is going to be one stylish little gal! Have a fantastic trip!
Jordan says
Has anyone tried to make a reservation? We will be there the week of 12/15 but there doesn’t appear to be any openings. I was hoping it was early enough that word didn’t get out.
Jennifer Chitwood says
It says seasonal dining…does that mean my reservations in April could have a different menu?
Lori says
I think this new menu looks fun and clever with some nice Snow White “Easter Eggs”. I ordinarily never do character meals unless my nephew is with us but Snow White was literally the first movie I ever saw and it has a special place in my heart so, I would do this in heartbeat.
I will miss the old Artist Point menu but I don’t think we’ve had a truly good meal there, start to finish, in seven or eight years. We kept going back because the good courses were usually great but too many things were misses.
DFB Sarah says
Jennifer, we often see menu changes with the seasons, so it could. Always good to check before you go!
DFB Sarah says
Jordan, keep checking! I just looked, and I didn’t see any openings, either. But things are always changing as people drop ADRs — so you might find one!
Kennith Wayne Conley says
I don’t understand the change to signature dining. Not every visitor has or takes children to Disney. Sometimes as we have in the past visited for a couples getaway. Would like to have the option for a very nice sit down for two. Not every restaurant has to have character dining.
Karen Moran King says
Now there will be two frenetic restaurants at Wilderness Lodge, no place to sit down and have a quiet meal. Pre fixed menu…eat less, waste a lot, pay more. I will miss the cedar planked salmon and berry cobbler.
Bob says
I am apprehensive about the change. Artist Point has been one of my top 3 on property restaurants since 2004. I was there in Oct 2018 and talked to my favorite service staff (Liliana and Karim) who said it’s the same chef, and therefore quality food, and the same service staff, and therefore outstanding service. I’m going to try it in January and then make my decision.
Jennifer says
I am so excited about this, as Snow White is my fave character. We have our dinner reservations made, for hubby and I in March. Can’t wait! We always pick 1 spurge meal and this is the one!
Bea says
Does anyone know how this works for gluten free dining? We love to take the kids but they are gluten free. Disney is usually very good. I’d love to hear how it worked for others as this is new.
CH says
In a couple of other spots it has been reported that the appetizers have been changed to a spring menu. Can anyone confirm?
