November marks 90 years of fun (and “oh boys!”) courtesy of Mickey Mouse — and the Walt Disney Company is celebrating the main mouse with a two-hour prime-time television event on November 4! It is appropriately named Mickey’s 90th Spectacular — and we got a sneak peek when we attended the taping this weekend!

Mickey’s 90th Spectacular filmed in southern California recently, and the DFB was invited to attend. You know our Disneyland correspondent Heather (@DiningInDisney!) was all over that. And when we say she was all over it, well, just look:

Yup, Heather and her bestie Gail (always up for a costume party) slayed the fashion game from ears to toe!
Before attendees were asked to put away their phones, Heather was able to get us a quick peek at the stage and the overall styling of the television special.

Of course Mickey Mouse was in attendance and had a seat of honor right on the side of the stage!

And just like Heather and Gail, Mickey was dressed to the nines. Check out this suit! Ninety never looked so good, Mickey!

Mickey’s 90th Spectacular airs on ABC on November 4 during prime time and will feature tributes and entertainment from Kristen Bell, Josh Groban, Sarah Hyland, Bob Iger, NCT 127, and MORE! Mousekteers from the original Mickey Mouse Club will also appear! Put it in your calendar, and set your DVRs!

The bow in the center of the ears is removable. Cool! Even cooler: there’s a clip on the bow that allows you to wear it as a bowtie! Hello! It’s like two souvenirs in one!

I’m so excited about this. Mickey is my main man and fave, and my Mom and I love Miss Minnie, too! My Mom remembers as a child that my grandpop bought a little film projector with a film of Steam boat Willy. They were poor so it was a gift for the whole family for Christmas. My Mom was only a little girl and said that they were thrilled with the cartoon! Thanks for this post, Heather!
People are selling these ears on ebay and putting them up for auction for outrageous money. I was under the impression that these will also be sold in the park as we get closer. Is that correct?
Princess Cathy, at the event, Heather was told the Mickey 90 ears will come to the parks, but she was not given a date when that will happen.
