There’s always something new happening at Walt Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom! Even though we were last in the park less than a week ago, there was still plenty of newness for us to discover.
Come along and take a look at everything new we encountered this week!
Christmas and Hanukkah Items Are Starting to Arrive in Disney Parks!
We spotted a festive plaid Minnie Ear headband and an adorable holiday-themed Goofy hat in the Chapeau on Main Street.
Can’t you just picture Goofy wearing this hat while he waits for Santa to arrive!?
Speaking of Christmas… a portion of Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square is still closed for refurbishment.
This week, the back portion of the store was closed. The middle door – the one nearest the sleigh – is open.
A rack of Hanukkah items is set up near the fireplace.
You can see where the temporary wall is separating the portion of the store that’s currently under construction.
More Nightmare Before Christmas 25th Anniversary Harveys Bags!
Jack! I have the plans for next Halloween!
Can you believe Halloween is just a few days away? To help get you into the spooky spirit, we told you about these fun Nightmare Before Christmas totes from Harveys earlier this week.
You can find them on Main Street in Uptown Jewelers and at Ever After Jewelry Company in Disney Springs.
Have your eye on one of these nightmarish totes? Move quickly – the Cast Members mentioned that the Mayor tote keeps selling out, particularly at the Disney Springs location.
Spirit Jerseys and Other Fun Apparel and Accessories In Full Force
We spotted the Pirates of the Caribbean and Enchanted Tiki Room Spirit Jerseys in Mickey’s Star Traders in Tomorrowland. We’re eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Haunted Mansion and it’s a small world Spirit Jerseys! You’ll be the first to know when we finally spot them.
This precious Pua outfit was hanging out in Agrabah Bazaar in Adventureland. Um, excuse us, Disney, can we please get this in adult sizes?
Ready to soar? You need this delightful Dumbo headband from Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus.
Disney Journals Arrive in the Main Street Emporium
Earlier this week, we told you about the new Disney journals at Main Street Emporium. There are three styles to choose from: Obsessed with Disney Parks, There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, and “Way Too Excited” Disney Parks Planner. Which one would you choose?
Spooky Parasols Materialize in Liberty Square
Just in time for Halloween, a few spooky new parasols have arrived in Liberty Square!
The first design features the Tightrope Walker from the Haunted Mansion.
And, of course, there are two Hocus Pocus styles featuring The Sanderson Sisters.
The Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor Debuts a New Look
The construction walls around the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor came down to reveal a new, spacious exterior. The old spaceship and the sign featuring Mike Wazowski are gone.
But a new sign is in its place…maybe temporary?
Purple Wall Cotton Candy and More Magic Kingdom Snack Updates
Have you tried the new Purple Berry Cotton Candy yet!?
The Cotton Candy stand wasn’t at the Purple Wall this week, but you can still find the Purple Cotton Candy at the snack carts near Space Mountain.
The cult favorite Spring Roll cart near the Enchanted Tiki Room in Adventureland is currently only serving the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls and Reuben Spring Rolls. The veggie flavor is not available at the moment.
Remember the Blueberry Almond Popcorn from Pandora in Disney’s Animal Kingdom? Well, this fun blue flavor has now joined the Main Street Popcorn Company lineup and is available throughout the parks.
Earlier this month, we told you about the cute new packaging for Goofy’s Candy Company sweets. The tubs of Goofy’s Cotton Candy now feature the new design, too!
While the sign wasn’t out this week, the Un-Birthday Shake from The Plaza is still available.
Remember the Jumbo Pretzel with Beer Cheese dipping sauce that used to be on the menu at Prince Eric’s Village Market? It’s now available at the Storybook Circus Snacks cart just outside of Pete’s Silly Sideshow. BUT! The Cast Member working at the cart mentioned that this cart would be closing soon and the Turkey Leg and Jumbo Pretzel would once again be available at Prince Eric’s Village Market.
The Headless Horseman Makes a Daytime Appearance
We spotted the Headless Horseman straw clip at Storybook Treats in Fantasyland! This is usually an item exclusive to Mickey’s Not-so-Scary Halloween Party, so we were surprised to see it offered on a non-party day.
The Headless Horseman straw clip comes with a clear plastic twisty straw. The pumpkin and the horse’s eyes light up! Better hurry up and cross that bridge, Ichabod.
Tom Sawyer Island Temporarily Closes for Refurbishment
Parts of Tom Sawyer Island have been closed for refurbishment for a while, but the entire island is closed now.
Boats are not currently running to the island.
Tom Sawyer Island is expected to reopen in late December.
Dancing Lumiere is Back on the Enchanted Tales with Belle Sign!
The dancing Lumiere is back on the Enchanted Tales with Belle sign! He has been gone for a while, so we were excited to see him again.
Wreck-it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet Goodies Have Landed
Wreck-it Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet debuts in theaters on November 12, but its accompanying merch arrived in the park this week!
There’s a talking Vanellope Von Schweetz…
And of course the Kitty gets the milkshake!
Magic Kingdom‘s largest selection of Wreck-it Ralph 2 merchandise was located in Big Top Souvenirs in Storybook Circus, but several items were available in the Main Street Emporium, too.
There were also fun tees for adults and kids.
Whew! Which is your favorite update from the Magic Kingdom this week? Let us know in the comments!
