Sprinkles calls the Black Velvet their “deepest, darkest, most chocolatey cake”, and as far as we’re concerned, all chocolate cake should be crafted to meet that description. 😉

Of course, the Black Velvet must be topped with something equally decadent — and that’s where the whipped chocolate ganache comes to play. It’s just as rich as you’d imagine! Kids, you can keep your candy; mom and dad want one of these instead!

I tried both of these (Black Velvet and the Cuppy) and they were both very good. I had fully expected the cupcake part of the Black Velvet to be way too strong of a chocolate flavor, but it wasn’t. It was the perfect Devil’s Food Cake. The frosting I found to be too strong. The Cuppy was nice and light.
