If there’s one sweet trend that’s still going strong, it’s over-the-top Milkshakes!
You’ll find them around Disney World at spots like Planet Hollywood and the All Star Resorts, and even over at Universal Studios at The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen.
But there are some new Milkshakes hot (or cold?!) off the presses at a place in Disney World that’s synonymous with ice cream greatness, and that’s Beaches & Cream at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! It’s always been a place well known for Sundaes like the famous Kitchen Sink. And a couple years ago, Beaches & Cream made its milkshake mark with an array of hard Shakes and Floats just for adults. But the shakes we’re checking out today are brand new on the scene.
Now, when you hear that these new shakes come in Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry, you may be wondering, “What’s the big deal?”
Well, let us tell you. Better yet, let us SHOW you!
Ready to dig in?
(By the way, these come with large paper straws, but you’ll definitely want to grab a spoon, too. And maybe a fork, while you’re at it!)
The Mickey Confetti Vanilla Shake is packed to the plastic souvenir cup’s brim (yes, you get to keep it!) with rich vanilla ice creamy goodness.
It’s topped with an entire funfetti cupcake which is further topped with frosting and a chocolate Mickey balloon!
Colorful sprinkles line the rim.
There are no additional add-ins within the milkshake itself — with the vanilla or the ones you’re about to see. Just simple classic shakes within the jar-style cups.
The Chocolate Brownie Shake — like the Chocolate Lovers Kitchen Sink — is for serious chocoholics only.
The chocolate shake comes in a cup that’s further lined with chocolate sauce with a chocolate sprinkle rim.
A large (and noticeably soft and fresh) chocolate brownie and individual chocolate pieces more than peek out of the top — they take it over!
But we’ve saved perhaps the cutest for last. For our favorite Mouse who loves her reds and pinks, it’s the Strawberry Minnie Shake!
Strawberry sauce lines the strawberry shake-filled cup with a full-sized cupcake topping the drink.
And, as you can see, it’s not just any cupcake…
It’s a Minnie Mouse cupcake! The chocolate base comes topped with really yummy strawberry frosting, dotted with tiny strawberry bits throughout. Oreo cookies make up Minnie’s ears and a chocolate piece provides her signature polka dot bow.
It’s worth noting that the cookies themselves were a little soft, possibly from the ingredients being prepared in advance.
The new Shakes are $14 each, including the cup (which, by the way, are actually double-sided and printed — they’re not just sticker decals).
Oh, and just FYI, these have not taken the place of the Boozy Shakes on the menu.
Those are still available, too!
One more thing: note that these shakes are only available when you sit down inside Beaches and Cream with an Advance Dining Reservation or as a walk-in. They are not available at the To Go window — at least, not currently. So, get ready to grab a table or a seat at that Beaches and Cream Counter…
… and dig into their latest ice cream creations!

Nemo says
Are the cups glass or plastic?
Frank H says
I got to say, even though I am a huge sweets person and I LOVE milkshakes, these are just too much for me!
Megan says
I would totally get one just for the cup alone, those are so darn cute.
Essie says
The jars ARE cute, and of the three, I think it’s the Minnie strawberry shake that’s the cutest and most tempting.
DFB Sarah says
Nemo, the ‘glasses’ are plastic. 😉
Rey G says
can the dining plan be used here?
JeffreyP says
And we wonder why this country has a diabetes epidemic.
G says
Ditch the chocolate….they all have chocolate something….allergies
I won’t be trying it… but cute idea
Melissa Hogston says
Can this be used as a snack credit?
DFB Sarah says
G, it looks like the vanilla would be the easiest to customize for you, but you can always ask them to try to make it without chocolate.
Joni says
Looks a lot like the shakes At Toothsomes.
Maybe worth a try !!!
DFB Sarah says
For those asking about Disney Dining Plan snack/specialty beverage: We don’t have confirmation either way, but specialty milkshakes are often included with DDP. If we get confirmation, we’ll let you know!
Sarah Verville-Labbé says
They don’t serve these anymore. We went there to try them, ended up with a very ordinary chocolate shake in a plastic cup with nothing else then whip cream for 14$… We also waited for 15 minutes and the place wasn’t even full… i would avoid.
Lauren says
Sarah, my friend just got back today and got three of them. Not sure what happened when you were there. maybe a miscommunication. Hopefully you can get one at another date.
DFB Sarah says
Lauren, good to know!
Andrea says
I was looking forward to having a chocolate one when I stay at Beach Club in September. Unfortunately Beaches and Cream will be closed for refurb then.
GD says
Are these milkshakes available as the dessert on the table service credit for dinner or is it just the brownie or pie desserts that can be used? I cannot tell from the disney website. Thanks
DFB Sarah says
GD, the loaded milkshakes are not included on DDP.
Agnes says
Hi, to enjoy one of these shakes, is it still necessary to make an ADR ?
Thanks a lot !
DFB Sarah says
Agnes, you can’t get the loaded shakes to-go, so you’d need an ADR or to try for a seat at the bar to order one.
Agnes says
Thanks for your reply ! I think it’s hard to know 6 months in advance when I want to have a shake there ! but I’ll try 😉
