It may be Halloween, but we saw a sure sign of Christmas today! The Contemporary Resort’s Gingerbread Castle in Disney World is going up!
Hello from the Contemporary
We can see the Castle, is in its “new” home for the second year in a row by the windows on the fourth floor. There it is — peeking out from between the Contemporary shops on the Grand Canyon Concourse!

We can smell the gingerbread in the air! Here come the holidays! The castle is a clear nod to Mary Blair, Disney imagineer and artist responsible for the design of “it’s a small world” in the parks as well as the amazing mural opposite the gingerbread castle in the Contemporary itself. Can you see the “iasw” elements to this?

It will grow into, we’re assuming, a place for gingerbread figures of Cinderella and her Prince Charming to greet Contemporary Resort guests through the holiday season like they did last year!

You can also see the little gingerbread stand off to the left, where we’re hoping to find sweet eats and treats very soon!

Oh, so much fun at Christmas! It’s so magical and one of the best things to do, besides eating and drinking, is visiting resorts for the gingerbread displays!
Will it still be CInderella and Prince Charming you think? I thought they changed this up year to year. It was Frozen before, wasn’t it?
