Candy Cane Tips
Here’s our annual advice if you’re hoping to snag a Candy Cane: the rules state that guests are not supposed to line up prior to park open. But, we advise trying to line up about 30-45 minutes ahead of park opening anyway… and you likely won’t be alone. Then, proceed immediately to the designated shop upon opening. (Locations are specified by date below.)
Wristbands will be distributed upon the shop’s opening. Based on previous years, typically 40 wristbands are distributed per batch with three batches per day, for a total of 120 wristbands. We have received feedback that more than 120 wristbands have been distributed at times, but your mileage may vary. As always, Disney simply states that “wristbands are limited.”
One wristband allows the purchase of ONE Candy Cane (with a limit of one wristband per guest), and must be shown at time of purchase.
Those with wristbands should go to the Candy Kitchen producing the day’s Candy Canes according to the batch time listed on their wristband. You may pick up your candy cane any time after your batch time, but prior to 4PM. Note that in previous years, if you didn’t pick up your candy cane by 4PM, it would be sold to someone waiting on standby.

I know this sounds like a frantic madhouse, but what a fantastic Christmas tradition this is for Disneyland. I’ve seen canes made on PBS and it’s fascinating to watch them be made.

Essie, I so agree. It’s mesmerizing to watch!
Merrinda says
