A job posting from Patina Restaurant Group has appeared on the International Services website. The posting appears to reveal information regarding the Space-themed restaurant coming to Epcot!
The currently posted name for the restaurant is Space 220, and applicants are informed that “Like in the real International Space Station, represent your country in this restaurant. We will recruit European candidates [whose] role will be to make the guests feel like they are in space.”
Note that the posting says that the new restaurant will be “located next to the attraction Mission to Mars.” However, later it clarifies that “new restaurant will be located between Mission Space and Test [Track] at EPCOT.”
Further information confirms that the restaurant will offer simulated views into space with guests sitting in a spaceship themed dining room. New information states that the dining room will seat more than 350, and that guests will access the dining room by “two fully functioning elevators with large digital screens to simulate the trip to the space station.”
Upon exiting the elevators, guests will enter the restaurant which will be connected to the rear of the existing lounge. The main dining room itself will feature a 250-foot-long digital screen flanking the back of the curved room.
Posted positions include waiter/waitress, host/hostess, and cook. At this time, April 2019 is posted as when applicants can “Join the crew at the Epcot Space 220 Restaurant in Florida!”
