This weekend we’ll be celebrating 90 years with MICKEY MOUSE!
Suffice it to say, our favorite Mouse has had a HUGE effect on pop culture over the years, so what better place to mark the decades with Mickey than at Pop Century Resort, where we’re checking out What’s New!
Mickey’s Birthday Activities
Pop Century will be celebrating the Main Mouse with Mickey’s A-Mouse-ing Birthday Bash on Mickey’s birthday, November 18th! Special activities will include Character Greetings, Place the Party Hat on the Mouse, and a Hot Diggity Dance Party.
We also appreciate that Everything Pop! will serve a special Cheese Plate on the 18th in honor of Mickey’s favorite food… which brings us to our next stop!
Everything Pop!
Everything Pop! Food Court is doing well with their current stock of Holiday Resort Refillable Mugs. (Neighboring Resort Art of Animation has a steady supply, too.)
But our recommendation is still to get ‘em while you can!
A location switcheroo finds that non-bakery desserts have relocated back to the first station at Everything Pop.
You’ll currently find another park staple here: Churros! Find them on the menu under Pineapple Soft-serve (a/k/a DOLE WHIP)!
For the spot switch, the Brick Oven Pizzas are now at the second station.
You can also find all-day breakfast items and create-your-own salads here.
And for a HUGE seasonal change, the Summertime Barbecue Pizza is now Barbecue Chicken Pizza… with all the same ingredients 😉 .
Even though Oktoberfest is over, let’s talk beer! Updated draft beer options are Sam Adams Winter Lager and Coppertail Free Dive IPA.
These have replaced Sam Adams Oktoberfest and Crooked Can Freedom Ride Stout.
Cupcakes more your thing?
The current specialty cupcakes are the Cookies and Cream Mickey Cupcake and the Funfetti Sundae Cupcake.
But there was no sign of the King Whoopie Pies on our visit. When we asked a Cast Member, she said she hasn’t seen them in a couple of weeks, so we’ll be keeping an eye out.
In the meantime, the Vanilla Minnie and Chocolate Mickey Whoopie Pies are still available.
Disney Skyliner
In case you haven’t heard the news, an opening season has been announced for the Disney Skyliner gondola transportation system! We’ll be able to ride through the skies starting in Fall 2019.
Pop Century and Art of Animation Resort will be two of the four resorts connected to the system, which will also carry guests to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Here’s a look at some of the current construction.
Thanks for POPPING IN to Pop Century Resort with us! Until next time… STAY GROOVY!

The BBQ chic Ken pizza is good but very heavy on the BBQ sauce. I had to take some off because it was all I could taste.
